IU football fans - do you experience this with your family?

My nephews, HUGE IU fans (and graduates*) didn't even know we were playing for bowl eligibility.

Nephew (just one of them): Oh, who's playing?

Me: Bucket game.

Nephew: Purdue's already eligible, right?

Me: Winner becomes eligible. And you're not even a Notre Lame fan during football season!

Couldn't believe their collective ignorance about football!

*every one of them played HS FB and BB. One of them played college BB and another played college FB.

I dont recall having that happen with any relatives,but I have known many IU basketball fans who couldnt name five Hoosier football players.
