It's worse than predicted

I will add my expenses up @ year's end, but so far the Biden Presidency has been an economic disaster as my expenses are through the roof. Last year was bad, this one is just horendous.

The new green Dems are absolute killer to the low & middle class the old Dems used to claim to champion.

No thanks. I'll do everything I can to never buy an EV.

I agree, vociferously!

Ran across a point yesterday I did not remember seeing made before. How are roads, bridges, etc currently built and maintained? With money raised from state and federal gas taxes. Owners of EVs will not be paying gas taxes. So where will the money come from as more and more people do get jollied into buying an EV? One suggestion is states will institute or greatly increase annual auto registration fees. In European countries you can pay as much as $2,00 to register a vehicle. Roads do not fix themselves, you know. And we keep getting told how many bridges in this country need work as they are currently unsafe for the traffic they are carrying.

I don’t think Putin would have invaded Ukraine if Trump was president. The boarder would be more secure. We would still be energy independent instead of being dependent. So inflation should be less since Ukraine wouldn’t be funded, less money needed for migrants, lower energy costs then less inflation on all goods.

And how would it have been different under Trump?
No second pandemic package.
No war on fossil fuels.
A quicker end to unemployment benefits forcing people back to work, which in turn would have resulted in less supply chain disruptions.
Less free candy handed out to blue states which would have reduced inflation.
Less free money given to illegal immigrants (free cell phones, etc)
The list goes on and on. (Essentially reversing all of Biden’s executive orders and economic spending)

Not sure it would've helped the supply chain issues as that is a global issue as China and other places continue to do lockdowns and shutdowns every time there is a spike.

But Trump was pushing for businesses to do more production in the US instead of relying on China, so that might've had a small impact, but doubtful in the short term.

Independent trucker restrictions in California haven’t helped US supply chain issues

EVs are made of unicorn hair and put no stress on roads so the need for repair will no longer exist.

Oops. You know, I missed that memo. I am sorry to be seen creating a problem that does not exist. I will try to do better next time.
(tic, of course)

I thought the poor were so well off with their welfare and COVID checks and unemployment? Are you saying people sometimes need help?
No, I'm saying they sometimes need help because the government keeps fukking up. Stop the idiotic government intervention and the poor might actually do well for once in the past half century.

Pretty much everything Biden has done, and not done, have made things worse. It all started with the war on fossil fuels, and got worse with handout after handout, with no accountability.
There has never been a worse pResident in the history of our country. The sad thing is, we are all paying for it and may very well never recover. But at least there are no mean tweets!
