Today, from yesterday on the helmet to helmet hit:

Asked if targeting should've been called on Lomax, Hazell said: “We’re still reviewing it.”

Figure there were 48 hours to view it, you have had to have seen it, what more could you possibly have to review? Give an opinion!

YES or NO. Say something and stand by it. Maybe the softball local media could ask something to get a definitive answer. "Do you like Thanksgiving?" "What is your favorite color?" "Is the sun shining today?" I want to see if he can give a definitive answer on anything.

True the 2-10 season has me beaten down, but it drives me crazy to read this every week. Have an opinion about SOMETHING. Have a take, don't suck. Nothing can stop you.

To be fair, maybe Purdue is still using VHS tape and has one VCR so it has been in fact hard for him to see the hit. I just don't know anymore.

I typically dismiss all coach speak as worthless but this quote struck me as well. Stick up for your team. Be a leader.

If I were the reporter I would have a list in my pocket of all the questions he deflected earlier in the season with his "review the tape" response. Then the next time he gave me "review the tape" I would pull out the list and say, very well, I'll agree to revisit that question in a few days if you can give me a final answer to these other 100 questions you needed to wait to review the tape on previously. I would just love to see the look on his smug ass face..

I watch/listen to enough press conferences to know you wont get a whole lot, but I do appreciate coaches who are honest. I know injury reports and game plan stuff can be off limits, but these are yes or no questions. Or if he has to preface things by "I need to take another look but my first instinct is..." It is really like a communist state with the lack of information available.

He can't be watching as much film as he claims. If he was certainly there would have been some changes by now -- I would have pulled Shoop from play calling by now and just done it myself. His reputation has gone down the drain.
