Probably the best example of sour-grapes journalism I've ever seen.
Isn't that the piece that complains about all the corn fields and two-lane roads around Lafayette... as if South Bend is any different?
There was a funny parody of this in 2004 written from a Purdue's fan perspective while visiting South Bend. The person penned it under the name "Aaron Purduetek" or something similar. It was really good. Mentioned all the boarded up strip clubs you have to drive past in South Bend to get to Notre Dame.

Reminds me of a saying I once heard....if the Southside of Chicago is the asshole of the world, South Bend is about 80 miles up it.
