Maybe Bobinski is getting out of Dodge at the right time. The ACC recently announced the launch of the ACC Network which is five years in the making and won't really become a linear network until 2019. Meanwhile the cable TV industry is dying by 1,000 cuts as cord cutting accelerates. I'm skeptical that thing gets off the ground and if it does, no way on God's green earth does it match the revenue of the BTN or the SECN.
But the key here is that Commish Swofford duped all ACC members into signing a GOR until 2036. These schools are stuck in the ACC for two decades and the revenue disparity between the ACC vs the B1G & SEC will grow greater every year.
Bobinski is the second AD to jump from the ACC to the Big Ten recently. The Syracuse AD left for Minnesota a couple of weeks ago.
