I know he is out for this weekends game, but does anyone know if he has returned to practice in pads? Getting into 1/4 of the season is a valid concern from Purdue's perspective.
Is Neal only doing personal training or is he practicing?

Closed practices since practice 8 of fall camp. In the 6 of 7 that I attended, Neal was never off to the side and working out. He was in street clothes when there and watching/coaching up young guys.
Yes, he's out again this weekend. Some are predicting we'll get him back after the bye for Minnesota. That'd be great, but I'm starting to get pretty pessimistic.

It's really ashame, most importantly for him. I'd feel really bad for him if it kept him from having a good season, for his own draft benefits and memories.
Big guy, ACL injury where his job is to explode up...take your time, think about your future. When he's ready, we'll be waiting with open arms.
