Maryland went in 2014 or 2015 I think, their first year in the Big Ten, but that was a team that had been recruited for the ACC. MSU in 2004 was the last team that had been recruited as Big Ten players to make the FF...... Lets hope OSU makes it two to really pump up the conference and change some of the perceptions that the BT no longer is a nationally competitive conference in WBBall.

Caitlin Clark is a fantastic player, she’s the Curry of women’s College hoops, for me close to must see tv as it gets.

Iowa in the finals!!! I am shocked and surprised but happy they beat the juggernaut that is USCar.... DESPITE getting massively outrebounded, turned out USCar offense was anemic at best against Iowa's defense.

Yes, she is a great womans Basketball player. Her problem is that her persona and attitude leave a lot to be desired.
Not sure about that, I listen to her, she always credits her team and talks good about the other team. Sure, she’s a little cocky, most great ones are, sort of what makes them great. That game last night was fantastic, I was at a local establishment, people were up in arms rooting for Clark and Iowa, never thought I’d see that during a women’s game.

`We will have to disagree. She is fine after a game or when talking to the media. She has a terrible attitude on the court. Is always complaining. But as I said she is a great player.

You would have hated Larry Bird as a player. HE was a raging asshole, talking smack, giving hard fouls to send a message and during his whole playing career he neveronce shook Dominique Wilkins hand just to try and get into his head. I am not a fan of Clark's antics, but she is so far down the list of bad actors on the court its not worth getting worked up over.

Iowa went down hard in the finals, 4th title for Kim Mulkey. Maybe the first coach to win titles at two separate schools.

Terrible officiated game, refs ruined it with their calling fouls nonstop. Mulkey pranced on court most of the game pleading for fouls, can’t stand her.

They definitely took some of the stars out of the game. The technical on Clark was ridiculous.

As long as Clark comes back. I could see Iowa back in the Final 4 next year.

I'm dreaming about her turning pro and getting picked #1 by the Fever. Lol.

I think the technical was warranted, despite the TV commentators being upset about it. After the game, the refs said Iowa had been warned about “delay of game” actions - to stop batting the ball out of bounds instead of handing it to the ref. Clark clearly did that once again smacking the ball behind her back out of bounds and away from the refs. And she knew it too as, for her, her protestation at the tech was very mild.

Players on both teams displayed poor sportsmanship on numerous occasions. As one commentator said, it will not be a national title game we remember for the right reasons.

When I read.the officials comments they were just.covering themselves. A second delay of game is one shot and charged to the team not a technical on a player. You also have to gain an advantage by the delay which happened when both teams.were huddling prior to a free throw. They were terrible. The only thing I can take away from it is that they were horrible both ways. Iowa just depended on their starters so much more than their bench.

I know some of our officiating was bad this year but we didnt have any of those three right?

Aren’t the officials selected for the Tournament Final games considered the best of the best?

It was clear the entire game the officials wanted LSU to win. I mean they didn’t even try to hide it. Another embarrassing moment for a sport that is finally starting to become relevant nationally due mainly to star players like Clark. Shame it had to be ruined by officials who clearly had an agenda.

You are entitled to your opinion but I didn't see it that way. It impunes the officials to say they “wanted” one side or the other to win.

The refs were bad both sides, however, how about enough of the letting Mulkey prance around all game? One time the ref ran into her, how about Teeing her up? The best team one but some of the calls, LSU flops, Mulkey in the refs ears all game drove me nuts. Reese the final 4 MVP was odd, she wasn’t even their best player in the title game, as for the way she acted, not the best look.

Did the referees ever warn the LSU coach in not going out on the court? At one time, the coach ran into one of the referees. She was encroaching onto the court all game and was never called.

This was one of the worst officiated games and was supposed to be the high-profile game of the season. The refs let taunting happen too and it got way out of hand. This game will be remembered for that.

People are saying that Clark did this against SC......but then LSU did the same thing times 10.

This is really what we saw with B10 officiating this year. I think all teams in the league can offer a lot of examples of them getting screwed by refs, some them likely influenced the outcome of a game or two.

Officiating is now one big crap shoot. You have no idea what to expect. The B10 and NCAA tell all the teams to follow the recruiting rules and game rules, etc. Yet, the leagues don't seem to be too interested in having quality officiating that is consistent.

The issue I have is the clear taunting. There was a big movement the last 10 years to control taunting in men’s sports, specially men’s college basketball and the NFL. In the men’s game players can’t even hang on the rim for more than 3 sec because the refs will T them up for taunting. Clark isn’t a saint - she makes gestures but what Reese did towards the end of the game crossed the line between passionate play and taunting. But it would’ve never gotten to that level had the refs made it a point that directly taunting an opponent is not allowed. The fact the refs weren’t calling direct taunting of an opponent but T’d up Clark for tossing a basketball after a play is where the hypocrisy lays. The refs lost control yesterday and the only way they thought they could regain some semblance of control was by calling ridiculous fouls and just completely ignoring Mulkey’s insane antics on the sideline.

The NCAA really needs to focus on cleaning up the game - look women players deserve to be passionate just like the mens and obviously women can’t hang on rims - but getting into another players face and clearly taunting her with a gesture should not have any place in a college women’s basketball game. The refs were there yet they weren’t there. Where is the warning - at least!?!

Yes, a national title game that will be remembered for the wrong reasons. Hopefully this will be addressed to all referees and an emphasis put in place to not allow taunting before next season begins.

Sure Mulkey was on the court the whole game. she is not the only coach guilty of such behavior. Clearly, most coaches don't want their kids to get too much credit for winning, they have to prance up and down the sidelines (often the court) to let everyone know who the mastermind is. If I were coaching against a court intruder Like Mulkey, I would instruct my players to bounce the ball off her to see what the refs might say. I think the NCAA should make a BIG effort to enforce the coaches to stay in the coaches box. Wasn't John Wooden the greatest coach ever?? He never got out of his seat during a game. I think he felt that coaching was primarily done before the game began. He had some pretty good results following that plan.

Boy, you see something that I don't see, and I have watched her a lot this season.
