Injuries

Any word on Hunte, McCollum, or Jones injury status? Our defense will really need to be at full strength.
No news on Hunte so likely he is full go.
McCollum has a slight hammy issue and he has been held from practices all week for rest and rehab. He'll likely be a starter and go from there. Any chance of it getting worse and he gets pulled with the upcoming off-week so he is 100% for the Minny game.
Haven't heard anything from injury reports on Jones so likely a similar situation to McCollum. Jones addition in the backfield is a positive...even with Fuller making a big impact up to this point. Jones has the ability to run inside/out along with being the best blitz-pickup back, and catching the ball out of the backfield. His presence on the field doesn't typically tip off the defense what could happen.

Jallow Johny Doe?
Haven't heard anything to report at this point. Brohm appears to hold things pretty close to the vest but I imagine him not playing much in the Ohio or Missouri game has allowed him to heal a good amount. I think, if memory serves me correct, he injured a hammy and he was one that Brohm said has had some cramping/other issues with hamstrings since the start of camp. The potential loss of McCollum would be much worse in my mind than Jallow....or Okonye.

Latest GBI article also states Bentley has been limited by unknown injury this week and is questionable. Let's hope Bentley and McCollum both can play as this Linebacker group has been great so far.

LT tackle Hermanns has also been sitting out with sore knee issue and is questionable.

Also stated Jones is still out, but Hunte will play.

Glad we have the Bye week after the Michigan game to hopefully get these guys back to full strength.

I think Bentley and McCollum play as long as Purdue is within reach AND as long as they can go. If the game is close through the 4th quarter, then I imagine both will play if they are capable. If the game starts to slip away in the 2nd or 3rd quarter, I imagine Brohm will likely pull those players who are dinged up (Hunte, Bentley, McCollum, Hermanns) and allow them to rest given the bye is next week. No reason to continue banging your head on a wall when the result will be the same. If it is close, I reckon Brohm is going to throw the kitchen sink (and likely the fridge as well) at UM to win the game.

Seems like a lot of guys listed as questionable. But I can only recall McCollum leaving the Mizzou game due to injury. Now Bentley, Hunte, Hermanns.. Is it possible there is some gamesmanship here by the Purdue coaching staff? Draw attention to the "weaknesses" for Michigan to shoot at? If I am Michigan I am more likely to have a plan to test the freshmen linebackers than Bentley and McCollum. Just a thought - I hope we are close to 100% for this one!

I definitely think Brohm is engaging in some gamesmanship. Unlike NFL-College teams are not required to provide injury reports or lists. If a reporter asks, he can answer or not. Lane Kiffin in the past has been notorious for giving out false info. Injury Reports are provided specifically to appease Vegas and gamblers.

Hunte definitely left the game last week.
