Last night on the ESPN scroll , they had T J Jallow 4 star commits to Purdue, that was so nice to see for a change that Purdue's name followed a very good recruit's name.

It's nice to get a really good player, with good size, at a position of great need. And to top it all off, he is a mid year enrollee and has signed his LOI so now I won't have anxiety attacks hoping nobody poaches him.
why? I didn't see him playing any zone, if he can't play zone he will fail as safety.
Need won't turn him into a safety. He is a man cb, which would probably be the worse for to change into a safety. You would have to teach him a new position, change his play style completely, and hope his athleticism helps him out. The only positive is his nose for attacking the ball. Without knowing our defensive identity I would much rather him developing as a cb over say a free safety in a base cover 1 scheme.
Brohm signed him to fill a need at safety. I get what you're saying, but that is the reality
