but if he is let go, can MB please contact Butch Davis to be the next head coach. He resurrected Miami and made North Carolina a winner and I'm positive he could make Purdue a solid winner again.

And UNC was under some pretty strict sanctions when he left. Hazel needs to go...but don't be stupid.

Purdue tries to catch lightning in a bottle from a lucky mid-major coach. We didn't even interview Leak or Petrino. You really think Davis is on MB's radar? No Freaking way Purdue hires a guy with a questionable past.

No way we want Captain Morgan making any more coaching hires.
Period.

after next week, Dino Babers will be a hot name.
If Illinois chooses to not make Bill Cubit the permanent coach, Babers will be a top candidate there (along with P.J. Fleck). And, if Illinois goes away from Cubit, they'll be prepared to pay $3 million+ and have assistant salaries toward the top of the Big Ten.

Are we really thinking butch davis had anything to do with a cheating racket that had been going on for what decades? Pick him up while we can!

corrected the above quote

Burke's been allowed to be the AD for 20+ years. He needs to step down or be voted out by the BOT. He's been running a sinking ship for awhile now. There are a couple of good sports and divers, but that doesn't make up enough for the overall mediocrity of Purdue athletics.

Yes. He knew it was going on and encouraged his players participation. Don't see how that makes him clear.

I'm not ready to fire Hazell, but Shoop on the other hand can go. And if we did can Hazell, I'd love to see us go after Bo Pellini

Here's the problem with this notion. Hazell and Shoop must be complicit in each others' wishes as to how this offense is being run. It's not like Shoop just archaically goes off on his own to choose not to build a game plan that exercises the players strengths, and then over think the game plan and then chooses not to make in-game adjustments . I would like to believe that this problem was only as shallow as Shoop, but I don't think so.

Second part I can't find anything stating that.

All I can see is he was cleared 2 years ago. If you cheated like unc had been doing for that long of course your first action is to fire the coach hoping ncaa doesn't sniff around.

It's my fault. I feel that I'm the jinx. The Saints sucked today too. Every football team I'm a fan of, sucks really bad. I'm bad karma. Someone send me a chicken, I need to reverse the curse.
