If you were a coach coming to Purdue what special things would you ask for in writing?

Not just for yourself but for the program.

I'll start off with a few.

- Increase the recruiting budget with some percentage of increase annually
- Assistant coaches pay to remain above average for rest of Big10 plus bonus incentives, reviewed annually
- Use of suite for family
- allow the students to attend free
- don't make past athletes who are being honored have to purchase tix to the game
- three free rounds of golf a week at either course

Good list, just an addendum to the "don't make past athletes purchase tickets when they are honored". I'd add that I don't think a past athlete should even have to pay to get in. If they put their effort and heart into this university on the court/field, they should be welcomed back with open arms and allowed in for free. We treat past athletes pretty badly in my opinion (and reading past player tweets, they feel the same), we need to change that and make them feel welcomed and loved by the university. Plus it'd put a few more butts in the seats.

Are you sure that we make past athletes being honored pay for tickets? When the 67 rose bowl team was honored, they were all in shively. I don't think that was a coincidence, and I can't see Purdue organizing that and then giving them a bill.

Further, I've seen ryne smith and Hummel going up to Buchanan. Pretty sure they aren't paying for that either.

Anything former athletes get for "free" is coming from corporate sponsors or big-time JPC donors.

Under MB1, everyone, fans, JPC members, former athletes, university employees, and especially students were nothing more to PU than a target to be chiseled for every last dime, asap. No thought was given to building loyalty or long-term relationships.

Our next coach doesn't have time for golf.

And that bum is still on the Purdue payroll!
Sorry but that burns my toast more than about anything - in the real world he would he have departed long ago for "better opportunities"....

A position on the Purdue Crew team so I can Row The Boat literally.
You watch, PJ is going to write a book about rowing the boat, then do speeches at sales meetings all over the country and double his salary. That's all the guy talks about. Not X's and O's, staff, or players - just promotes Row The Boat every chanvce he gets.

He has been stealing money for a long time. That's why I stopped giving.

Not just on the payroll, but he was with them on the overseas trip in the summer and again in Cancun...and it was not on his dime I am virtually certain.

The guy nickel and dimes everybody else, including former athletes...but has no shame in genuinely stealing money in the form of his salary that he continues to collect.

Which is why, every time I get a phone call from Purdue asking for money, I simply ask: is Morgan Burke still collecting a paycheck there? Please Call me when he isn't on the payroll anymore.
A complete jerk.
Q: what building will they name after that loser when he finally does leave?

They get a similar, if not the same, response from me...

I never cared for Burke as AD, never mind as a person...it is shameful that he remains AD, and that he remained AD for as long as he did.
