Player to add to Purdue's roster for the tourney run, from a B1G team not likely to make the NCAA tourney, who would it be? I'm leaning toward Tyler Cook from Iowa, think we could use the front line depth of one more big body.
Hill would be my second choice, especially if he was willing to play the stretch 4 some too.I might pick Mike Watkins from Penn State (athletic interior rebounder and shot-blocker). I'd pick either him or Malcolm Hill from Illinois. I'll go with Malcolm Hill because he's a wing with size and decent athleticism that has guard skills.
I was thinking of him...hate his cry baby act all the time, but Purdue lacks inside depth. If any reason happens that negates Purdue's inside game...Purdue will lose. Purdue can win without any particular guardI'd go Thomas Bryant and put up with the whining for a couple weeks. I think he would thrive in our offensive system and good luck guarding both him and Caleb on the floor together.
You think TB could learn our system in under a week?I'd go Thomas Bryant and put up with the whining for a couple weeks. I think he would thrive in our offensive system and good luck guarding both him and Caleb on the floor together.
You think TB could learn our system in under a week?
Oh yeah, run you a$$ off and beat them down the court adn if you don't get the ball...screen and roll to the basket...and everytime they shoot...that is your ball to get unless Biggie already has it. That would be simple enough...You think TB could learn our system in under a week?
Well I'm sure he's about to graduate so he must be smart. You think TB could learn our system in under a week?
Any player you bring in right now would struggle to learn the system in under a week. I think he would be great depth for our post players which we currently have nothing other than Swanigan, Haas, and Vince.
I don't know. Sounds simple enough, but you're fighting against 2 full years of Crean's coaching..Oh yeah, run you a$$ off and beat them down the court adn if you don't get the ball...screen and roll to the basket...and everytime they shoot...that is your ball to get unless Biggie already has it. yeah...how good could be have been if his athletic ability was honed in with some disciplineI don't know. Sounds simple enough, but you're fighting against 2 full years of Crean's coaching..
I do think it would be worth it just to see what would happen when he goes to cry on CMP's shoulder.
I doubt he has the work ethic of Biggie (few do) but...yeah...how good could be have been if his athletic ability was honed in with some discipline
My money says he isn't close, but like you said...who does?I doubt he has the work ethic of Biggie (few do) but...

McIntosh can play 1-3 effectively and probably some at the four. I'm sure Painter who wanted the kid big time would find him a position. The OP posed it for players on teams that are not locks or going to be in the tournament. Northwestern is safely in the tournament as an at-large now with their win at home vs. Michigan.
Also, if McIntosh joined Purdue (in this hypothetical), wouldn't it be a bit crowded in the backcourt (at least at the 1) with Thompson, Albrecht, and C. Edwards all capable of playing the 1 as well?
