Sorry if you think I have intel on Dowuona but Painter and his staff just had an in-home visit(Florida) with him and it appears to have gone well. We have gotten a Crystal ball vote for him today and the 3 most recent votes have all gone our way. Dowuona(ED) is a long 6'11 player originally from Ghana with a high-upside potential; especially with Purdue. I'm Curious to see if he's apart of all y'alls ideal class and who else would make this class the best it can be.

My ideal would be: Trevion Williams 6'8, 270 - Had two games of at least 30 points and 30 rebounds last year while averaging 25 and 22(or maybe the other way around). Also had 5 triple doubles and passing is a strength of his.

Status: Committed to Purdue

Eric Hunter: 6'3, 170, SG/PG
We all want him and hopefully we will know in the coming weeks. It looked like he had a good time at the OSU game but as long as he remembers that it's about basketball we should be good here. Also Ohio State is trending with a handful of back-court players at the moment

Louis King: 6'8, 200, SF
He will probably be able to take Vince's spot as a freshman if he came given his talent. King was one of 3 or 4 players at the U19 games with Carsen that was still in High School. BTW he way out-performed Romeo Langford in those games and Calipari refused to offer him for some reason we can't fathom.

Tyger Campbell/ Duane Washington/ Colin Castleton/ Jaxson Hayes

You guys can talk from here. The 4 right above I believe are 4 players that we are some-what in the mix for as well. I think if we Don't get Hunter we could very well get Washington(AAU teammate of Trevion) and we could get Castleton as well(but more likely if ED commits elsewhere)

Washington is 0% chance. We never offered and misse the boat there.

Castleton - 5% and that might be generous. He got his dream offer to Florida.

Campbell - 5% if and when we offer.

Hunter - 75%
Dowuona - 75%
King - 10%. If we get him for an official, 25%.

Hayes - 20%.

I don't really have one dream class, but if Painter were to land a class of Williams, Hunter, Dowuana, and King, I would be ectastic. That said, I recognize that any class with King in it is a long shot at this stage based on the limited information that I have.

just curious, how did everyone get these percentages of a commitment? I like reading this stuff and your opinions, just wondering how you came up with the numbers
Depends on which guys we are talking about. Mostly gave the favorite +60% or so odds. Everyone else got an equal split of the remaining votes.

Not really scientific but pretty close to what the folks at Rivals, Scout, 247 probably do with their projections.

Didn't we just have a visit from Lukas Kisunas? Did we offer?

I would be very happy even if Purdue didn't get King and got the other three

That would be a great PF and C rotation if we got both ED and Kisunas to go along with Williams.

I agree. Those 3 along with Haarms have good upside and different strengths that would compliment the roster nicely going forward.

It will be interesting to see if the staff will take 2 more bigs with this class along with Williams. Then hope for Hunter and the best available PG or Wing for the 5th open scholarship (bank the 5th for '19 if no good options left).

I did another search of Kisunas highlights and his skill level is impressive. Typical European big man that can shoot, pass, and finish with either hand down low. I hope the Brewster Academy connection with Wheeler and Lutz's experience recruiting foreign players will help out here.

Anybody going to title a thread Painter gets ED? Anybody? No? Ok fine. A very good pickup and helps ease some of the anxiety many folks had about this class. Land Hunter, and that would give Painter a dang good class.
You mean...Purdue will be able to compete with Archie and the revamped IU team?

If we have ED, do we really need another pick-up?
