ETSU, Florida, Gonzaga and Oregon is as good a path as we can wish for.
Orlando wouldn't be a bad trip either for fans.

Would love it! I have been hating on Florida for being over-rated all season. Nothing would be sweeter than reaching the Sweet 16, by beating Florida in their own backyard!

I didn't realize this is almost a home game for Florida. I don't like that with us being the 4 and they being the 5.

I don't think he is even paying attention to location. According to the NCAA guidelines the top 4 seed lines are "protected" from having a home court disadvantage in the 1st 2 rounds. Now if the committee made Florida the 4 seed and PU the 5 seed Orlando would work, but not the way Lunardi has it.

Being the 5 seed in Orlando would not be good. 1st, it's a 5 seed instead of 4 which is bad. Secondly we would be playing basically a road game against Florida. While Orlando sounds nice, not a lot of PU fans are going to make that last minute trip.

Milwaukee is the best place for us since the Indy ship sailed for sure yesterday.

Some Indiana school districts start spring break next weekend, so there will be quite a few Purdue fans in FL already. Some of them in Orlando even. I think we would be well represented in at least the 2nd round game.

Palm also has us the 4 florida the 5 with gonzaga but out west. This would literally be a perfect scenario for us I love our matchup vs both teams and can definitely see us beating both. Florida is a great matchup for us

Would like to see Notre Dame lose tonight and slide into a 5 spot. If they win they could bump us down to the 5.

If we stay a 4, it really takes the sting out of yesterday. This team has responded well to losses all year. Give them some rest, practice some free throws, and come back with a chip on their shoulder. I'll take it.

There are a couple of teams I really want in the 4/5 game. Florida and Virginia to name a few and I was hoping for Saint Mary's to move up that far but doubt it happens. Throw them as the 6 seed in the bracket and Baylor as the 3. Gonzaga the 1 or 2 and boy oh boy that is a good looking road.

Dry,

My understanding of the guidelines is that the "home crowd disadvantage" is only a consideration for the first round, not any later rounds.

Slow down big fella. Let's win the first game, which we haven't done in years.
If we are the 4 seed, there is no way on God's green earth we lose to a 13 seed in the first game. If we are a 5 seed, then I would have to hold my breath. We crushed Florida last year by 15 points, I think we would do it again. Even though Orlando is about 96 miles from Gainesville, it wouldn't exactly be a home game for Florida.

Btw, there are quite a few Purdue Alumni who live in Florida! I think we would have a pretty good crowd! It probably won't happen this way anyway, seems like the committee makes sure their bracket doesn't resemble Lunardi's.

Nobody knows or cares about basketball in Florida. The Odome is a boring place to watch bb. Now, the swamp in football is an entirely different story

Didn't Purdue play a non-conference tournament there some years back? I remember a NCAA tournament game in Tampa under Gene Keady.

ND lost and "slid" into a 3 spot.

And now the ESPN talking heads are doing their best to try to get Duke a #1 seed.

Bilas has had the Duke Pompoms out since last night during the game. He's usually more reserved on that even though he's an alumnus. They will be a #2, UNC a #1. I agree that Kentucky and Arizona will also be 2-seeds. The last #2 will be interesting.

Arizona likely to be the #2 in the West, and I could see possibly Baylor as the #3.....Lunardi has Louisville right now.

The Big Ten has some tough match-ups in the bracket...

Poor NW in the 8 spot playing Villanova, that's a terrible match up for them, assuming they could beat Arkansas.

Wisconsin playing Xavier is one hell of a 6 vs. 11 matchup - Xavier had some tough injuries, but have been playing better.

Michigan playing the #11 play-in game is a flip-flop for them from last year - Syracuse/Rhode Island right now.

Maryland vs. Vandy is an interesting first round 7/10 match-up. I will be honest - I have not seen Vandy play at all this year.

Minnesota vs. Seton Hall is another interesting 7/10 match-up. Seton Hall has been playing pretty well.

Michigan State. vs Creighton another tough 7/10 match-up.

Michigan won't be an #11 seed, or am I misreading your post, Ibodel.

I'm guessing we are a 5. We have a very similar season to IU's last year and they were a 5. Won B1G regular season and lost in 1st game to UM in BTT.
