Reg, you had to bring up Mike Leach, that was my guy for PU. He wanted to go to a school that would be a rebuilding job and of course, has succeeded to do that at Wazzou ( a place that's arguably more difficult to recruit to). 1. It would make all the sense in the world to make a call to Kelly. You my get turned down, but so what? It is not as if there is a lot lower to go t the moment.

2. Burke won't do it. It is an aggressive move and he has a history of NOT being aggressive.

3.Kelly's offense would thrive at Purdue given its history. Oregon has some good years under Bellotti, but they were spotty in the latter part of his tenure. There were losing and mediocre seasons, similar to the late Tiller era at Purdue.

They really put it into gear under Kelly.

I equate their history to ours pre Tiller. Similar winning %. They had Dan Fouts and Amad Rashad. We had Bob Griese and Leroy Keyes.

Not an established one. Anyone worth while is smart and patient enough to know it is about more than money. He will wait for the right opportunity.
