I have it on very good authority that prayers have been answered

As I previously posted, no AD anywhere wants to fire the FB coach and the BB coach in the same year. That represents a huge problem in his own departmment. No manager wants to take responsibility for that.

Crean gets a reprieve because of Wilson.

Plus, the money from the league puts less need for BB to generate bucks at historic levels. The same is true for FB as it at least achieved mediocrity.

All good points and I do know it wasn't Glass' decision alone to fire Wilson. Granted, Wilson sort of forced his hand helped make it happen. The one thing that wasn't in the equation as some IU fans have stated is that IU wanted to lock up their new coach.

Crean opens the season strong next year my guess he'll get a three year extension for recruiting purposes because right now coaches are using this year against him and his recruits for next year just aren't what he's going to have to have to overcome his coaching deficiencies.

Jesus, I really do feel sorry for the alumni fans. And people complain about Painter...
Painter does not embarrass Purdue University. Tom Crean was a joke at Marquette and has become a lightning rod for Indiana University. And I have no sorrow for my IU brethren....not one whit because they welcomed Davis, Sampson, and this current dolt with open arms because "He's not Bob Knight and I'm tired of my University being embarrassed."

Painter is the reason I came to the Boiler side....class act, solid coach who makes kids accountable.

From my one remaining contact in the Indiana athletic office Tom Crean will indeed return to coach the Hoosiers again next year.

Fred Glass says too many injuries have decimated the Hoosiers this year and is making it known that Two Tone's job is once again safe..

Now sing with me...."Oh Happy Day, oh Happy Day....."
Tom Crean must coach at Indiana FOREVER!

I hope this is true but it is increasingly likely the Clapptastics have won their last game of the year. Without regard of injuries I just can't see him surviving to pace another season.

ya know "some" will debate whether he is a good coach based upon recruiting "if" they think it is mostly the coach rather than the totality of other things that has recruits commit. That said, people will not debate how weird and entertaining this man is. Now he may never gain the recognition of the peversion of Kinsey that was the face of IU for so long, but he IS something to see if you get bored going to the zoo.

Just watched Crean's post Michigan presser. Man, even I am beginning to feel sorry for the Hoosiers....
