How many 4 stars will Brohm land in 2019

I think the real interesting question will be how many 5 stars we get. Karlaftis should be a 5 Star when rankings are final. If we can get Hunter, he was a 5 Star. I think Bell will be a 5 Star, similar to Karlaftis, if we land him.

I’m going with 6...final answer

I'm thinking Karlaftis, Rice, Grant, Bell, Wright, and Williams. I'll say 6, with potential for several more

I believe we should clarify... does Hunter qualify towards this total?

Yes he would (or will?). Does a 5 star athlete have 4 stars? He does, with one to spare. So a 4 star compendium (sp?) would also include any player with more than 4- ie, 5 or 6 just for a start.

Next question ...

I asked because there was a previous LOOOOOOOOOONG discussion about transfers not counting regardless of their amount of stars as part of a recruiting class. Before Hunter transfers to Purdue and we include him, I wanted to ensure we set the ground rules first.

Four 4* in 2004, and three 4* and a 5* in 2005. Out of those 8, only Dorian Bryant was a major contributor.

it should be pointed out Purdue went 5-6 in 2005 and followed that up by going 8-6, 8-5 and 4-8 in subsequent years with those players winning the winning the motor City bowl and losing in the Champs sports bowl.

it's one thing to recruit 4* players. it's another thing to translate recruiting success into success on the field. But without talent, you don't win at all.

Using star average, Purdue is only behind OSU, UM and PSU

I know it’s early but not too shabby

Regarding the 2019 recruiting class...I see O$U, Mich, and PSU being ranked ahead of Purdue in the Big10.
Purdue will be ranked in the top 20 nationally. The 2019 class will be the highest ranked recruiting class in Purdue history.
