I'm not sure why Pitt would be eager to bring in Fran McCaffery. He can lead his teams to opening round NCAA Tourney wins and he likes to have them play uptempo, but his teams also have repeated late-season slides. I don't think he's ever led any of his teams (Lehigh, Siena, Iowa, etc.) past true second round games, and he appears to be a very loose cannon at times (which can be good in some situations, but mostly not).
