He’s not going to be anywhere close to Rentschler Field on Saturday. He’s not an employee of UCONN anymore. This situation is nothing like PSU and Taliaferro.
Think: Similar to when D-Haze was canned and our interim coach went 0-6. And UCONN has worse (much worse) players than what D-Haze left our interim coach.

Things changed. He originally said he would “retire” at the end of the season (on his terms). UCONN alumni/fanbase would not accept this and told the AD they would stop giving to the AD if Edsall wasn’t canned immediately. AD and Edsall had a meeting this afternoon and mutually agreed Edsall would step down immediately.
Their fans on their board were saying before he was made to leave that no one on the staff was good enough to take over.. besides your clear expertise of new haven pizza do you have any insights living there? As far as just how bad the new coach will likely be
They are right. None of the people on the staff have been FBS HCs before as far as I can tell. Lou Spanos has a fair amount of NFL experience (Steelers, WFT). He was a DC at UCLA for one season and was a “consultant” at Alabama under Saban for one season before becoming DC at UCONN. Under Spanos, UCONN gave up 625 ypg I believe in 2019. Their recruiting has been putrid and it shows on the field.

Both ND Gary Godsey and MI St Rocky Lombardi were gaffes for Purdue and will allow them to laugh and tell stories to their friends and families for years to come.
