Holt should go !

What he said..^
And Purdue will never have SEC talent.
But Brohm used his leverage to get his $$$$$$.
Purdue will be better..But will never play in a play-off game.
Possibly a Rose Bowl..And thats iffy.
Yes I'm a IU fan...But I'm blown away by the money he got...Better win 10 -12 games every year for that money.

Hands down our defense is not good! It’s not the play calling...it’s the players on the field. Can’t wait till next year and the years to come once Brohm has his players on the field.

Well, you might be blown away by the money but he got a market rate.

Our consolation is that his being at Purdue means that at least we can dominate IU. That is good for something, albeit a small something.

Call him down, obviously you’ve been drinking as most of us have. It’s not the defense of coach, without him we don’t win four games this year. We just don’t have the talent. How is Coach Holt supposed to create speed? How was he supposed to create size? It’s called the previous coaching staff did not recruit anyone worth a sh€t

What on earth are you talking about? 6 million per year is certainly nowhere near market rate for a coach with a 2 year winning percentage of .500

Purdue just inked Kevin Wilson 2.0: Sloppy, inconsistent, undisciplined, turnover prone, offensive oriented, non existent defensive football.

Enjoy your 6 or 7 wins season, marred by at least 3 head scratching losses.

What about that great offensive mind? Thank you for keeping him!
All these Purdue haters, glad you’re obsessed, better enjoy these games now with Brohm having 1 recruiting class because in a couple years talent gap will be closed. Glad you have chosen to spend your Friday on the Purdue board - let’s chat next time we play your team - IU? UK? UL?

Purdue will never get to SEC level football with your 6 million man. He is way over rated.
Im retired so I can enjoy a good ass woopin. Brohm has never had a defense. He is a foo-foo
coach. All offense. Not even that today.

Why are you talking like Purdue just signed a top 5 class? Purdues 2019 class is ranked anywhere from 25-30. You aren't coming anywhere near closing any talent gap with anyone in the SEC except for Vanderbilt. And you are paying 6 million dollars per year for that.....lol

Hey Ned - here’s some remedial math for you: brohm inherited roster made of classes around 60 or lower and as you stated his current class is 25 - that’s called closing the gap. I know that 60 and 25 are too large of numbers for you to count on your fingers

What Auburn is doing on offense has nothing to do with anything other than really bad CB’s and slow safeties playing.
Lol..did you see the safety get blazed by a TE and our safety had an angle. Slow... but I still like our future.

Yes, this is a butt whoopin but we will get better. Auburn has had their fair share of the same...Bama!

You clearly don't understand what the concept of "closing the gap" means. You don't "close the gap" within your own roster, you silly PUke. You "close the gap" with OTHER teams that are more talented than you. Which Purdue will not be doing with anyone in the SEC besides Vanderbilt with classes ranked 25-30.

Poor Ned, those confusing numbers for you are comparative rankings to all other teams. Maybe you are a child or a proud product of SEC academics?

The phrase "close the gap" is a relative measure between two teams. If our ranking *relative to other teams* goes up, we are closing the gap.

You're an IU fan. So, what does that tell us. IU couldn't even make a bowl game. Good luck with Allen.

And you are the loser on our board because your team sucks, has always sucked, and will always suck.

Here Ned, is an illustration to help you: say Auburn’s avg annual recruiting class ranking is 10 and purdues (before Brohm) was 60. That means a gap of 50. Now let’s assume Brohm continues his recruiting improvements and auburn maintains theirs. So now you compare Auburn’s avg ranking of 10 to purdues of 25 and that’s a gap of 15. So Purdue closes the gap from 50 to 15. Do you understand Ned?

Sweet. So maybe you'll come within 40 points of Auburn next time you play them?

We can disagree on the meaning of "closing the gap", but what is relevant to you is that the gap between Purdue and IU is widening. We can agree on that, no?

I dunno, who gives a crap about the gap with IU. That's not who the goof who made the "closing the gap" comment was referring to. He was saying Purdue was "closing the gap" with themselves, whatever the F that means.

But, If by "closing the gap" you mean that Auburn will only have 5x as much talent as Purdue than the current 10x as much, then yes, I would agree. That's true for any team that might move up in the rankings in the coming years as compared to the top teams who can't move up, because they are at the top already. I think Vanderbilt is closing the gap with Alabama, no? In 2017 Vanderbilt was ranked #65 in recruiting while Alabama was #1. But in 2018 Vanderbilt shot up to #41 and Alabama dropped to #5. That's "closing the gap" right?

None of this changes the fact that the upper tier SEC programs do exist and always will exist in a completely different stratosphere than teams like Purdue. Congrats on the one class you got thats ranked #30 in the country, but i'm afraid you will need much, much more than that to hang with most SEC teams. You do realize you lost by 49 points to the 10th best team in the SEC who's coach is close to being fired, right? And they could've put 100 points on you if they wanted? This should be an eye opener for you, not cause for more delusion.

Lol. Thanks for the comic relief Ned. Just know that IU isn't even in the same conversation. ...but you kwo even that already. You are just here for personal validation.

Purdue's class is ranked ahead of Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt. It is right there just behind Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Ranked 25th and 27th by the two major sites. It has probably been ages since we have had a class that good. So basically the text book definition of closing the gap. If we can continue to attract similar classes in the coming years we will definitely be on our way to being a respectable and competitive team!

And IUS last Bowl win was when George Bush the first was President. But the Gloomington Loosiers have notched 42 Big Ten wins while playing a weak non conference schedule annually for the past 24 years.Do you recall Bo Mc Millan? He was IUS last winning coach and he closed out his IU career in 1947.If you are 80 years old or so,you may remember him.

As a retiree, you will continue to see a lot of IU getting their butts whipped.
