Yep, Carsen can get up and Spike will be a factor!
One more highhhhh ..life ... Cline
Lowlight .... Purdue out scored by USI most of second half.
Both head scratchers!
It always seems to be an issue with Painter's teams, but they did technically outscore them in the second half.
What's an issue with painter teams?
Wow has Biggie really slimmed down. Both his mobility and agility look far improved. I definitely like throwing him the lob. Carson looked good attacking the rim.
Nothing. Just hyperbole. What's an issue with painter teams?
Oh shut up whiney mcwhineface. All you do is cry like a little girl on here and it's old. I mean do you think that the other team is going to give up so early in a game? No. And I have news for you, this just doesn't just happen at Purdue. The new rules also impact this as well.I replied to the quoted material above. The issue has been having better second halves than first halves (or more specifically, building on a halftime lead and turning games into one-sided affairs for the Boilermakers) and finishing games strongly to get the W.

But I get it. You have no real basketball knowledge so will just spew whiney nonsense with no real basis in fact to fit your agenda. But really, you should just stop posting here because nobody buys what you're selling oh whiney one.
And I know you said you put me on ignore, but I guarantee you will still read this post. You just can't help yourself.
It's clear hack-a-haas will be employed. He needs to be shooting 100s of free throws every day.
Hey thanks for creating an account and making your first and only post so far directed at me. Looks like my realism hit a nerve. You sir are insufferable

Completely agree. Poor FT shooting can be very mental. Isaac needs to get into a good mind set. He has proven he can shoot a good % for an entire season, so the ability is there. He needs to step to the line with confidence and knock them down. With his increased minutes this year he is going to have many nights where his success or failure at the line could decide the outcome. I'm hoping that we see last years results not his Freshman year.I'd be surprised if he doesn't. In many cases, it isn't lack of practice/effort that prevents players from shooting a better percentage from the FT line.
Look boys, a new troll. His first and only post is about Kessel. You sir are insufferable
And as we have seen in the past, missing free throws can be contagious.Completely agree. Poor FT shooting can be very mental. Isaac needs to get into a good mind set. I believe he only played 20 minutes last night. If he is fatigued to the point it's causing poor FT shooting he better get in shape!! My bet is mental not physical.Fatigue ?
Ya I didn't mean to assume he isn't practicing, rather that he needs to work it out. I don't much care what the root cause is. He needs to at least maintain his % from last year. I believe in him.And as we have seen in the past, missing free throws can be contagious.

This is great to hear. I haven't seen him play, but in the photos I've seen, his body looks much more chiseled and lean. His work ethic in and out of season, year in and year out, is his ticket to the pros.Swanigans athleticism appears to have improved quite a bit. More so than any player i can remember under painter, really impressed.

If a hot gym makes him shoot 33%, then we better be ready for some really warm arenas on the road this yearNot to say I disagree, but Mackey was very warm last night

yes very noticeable...remember he could have been in high school last yearSwanigans athleticism appears to have improved quite a bit. More so than any player i can remember under painter, really impressed.
Obvious to me Taylor will get some minutes to spell a tired Haas and Biggie and Haas foul trouble.
I see from the highlights it was 42-18 at one point late in the first half. For the part of the game where both teams were most likely going all out it was total dominance.
How much of the "struggle" from there on out was simply a matter of motivation? I mean, this was practically USI's super bowl and our players face better competition every day in practice. Up 42-18 down 3 players already and isn't one of your goals simply getting out of there with everyone healthy? I can't read anything into this game.
A championship team isn't satisfied with a 42-18 lead. A championship team has "killers" that want to bury the opponent even deeper. I understand them being short-handed but lacking a "killer-mentality" is something that is often synonymous with Purdue athletics. The teams (in the high-revenue sports) seem to have too much empathy for the opposition (or is it apathy) once they get a double-digit lead.

I know that they have different meanings. My point was that it could be a little bit of both things.
For all the great info you have provided over time I've tolerated your negative crap but it has finally grown so tiresome that I'm pulling the plug.A championship team isn't satisfied with a 42-18 lead.
