Hey....ya'll gotta' give some props to PJ

Knocked down 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch as well. Not sure if the first one was a 1-1 or not.

PJ is a closer for sure, but man, he bailed IU out once with an ill-advised steal attempt 25 feet from the hoop with 1 second on the shot clock. That swipe-and-steal late in the game could have been disastrous with the way the refs were calling things for IU. Took some serious cojones to try it again :)

Didn't he do that at the end of the first half on Blackmon's last shot also?

PJ did a nice job on Blackmon too. Gave up 11 points, but on a ton of shots.
Dakota did most of the guarding on Blackmon tonight. Mathias needs to seriously be considered for DPOY. Consistently draws the opposing teams best wing player and they usually are jacking up 15-18 shots to get their usual average or shoot horrible. We have seen that in most conference games this season and I'm sure the coaches/media have as well. I think Dakich mentioned that the previous game.

PJ and Blackmon used to be AAU teammates, so I'm sure knows his tendencies, especially when he's getting ready to shoot a jumper. I think that's what lead to those two clean swipes.
I've been kind of hard on PJ but I'm real comfortable with him at the line late in the game. Great job PJT

Dakich was talking Dakota for B1G DPOY up again on twitter last night... (I don't follow him, but saw the re-tweets). He was actually going back and forth someone about Dakota vs HAPP for DPOY..

From what I saw, the Boilers did a pretty fair job of not letting Blackmon get to his right. Granted, he was probably a little rusty from sitting out a few games, but 3-14 (1-7 from deep) is a great result for the "D." In the end, a nice tag-team effort from DM and PJT.

Just a hunch (and that's all it is), but I expect it will be Happ getting DPOY, and Mathias will end up on the all-defensive team.
