Just thinking out loud but if Texas does hire Herman and Applewhite gets the Houston opening the names we have been hearing would still be available to us, right! If ASU and/or Oregon opens up that would send the coaching carousel spinning!

I really believe Purdue wouldn't be able to afford Miles's staff requirements and wouldn't (and shouldn't) give him as much control as he wants. I don't see it as a good fit and he can sit out a year, go on TV, then pick a job.
It's looking awfully murky...
On one hand, it appears that the guy who decides to own the outcome (the Pur-DOER) is wearing his "Purdue 911!" t-shirt giveaway:
ON THE OTHER HAND, it seems that the sneaky, underhanded, lazy guy (the EXCUSEMAKER) who pulls the chair out from underneath the Pur-DOER is wearing a black Purdue sweatshirt.
All I have to say is I am ALL IN on the Pur-DOER for obvious reasons!
From living in Houston and surrounded by UH alums I think they expect Applewhite to be the next UH coach assuming Herman goes to TX. That being said UH has some deep pockets and is more than willing to pay Herman a big raise. Either way Herman's set up nicely.
Applewhite more than likely can't go to UT due to a lawsuit from a few years ago.
