Help me out here because I can't figure it out

No, I don't think they want that, just as I don't think many Republicans want Putin-lite (Trump) to be an autocratic leader for this country.

But the fact of the matter is, the world is going more global. We aren't going to isolate more and turn attention inward more in the future. There are issues that can only be resolved globally, not just by taking care of our own shit. Migration is one problem, and the root of the migration problems in Europe and the Americas is unstable, autocratic governments in other countries. Border security matters, but as long as there is impetus for people to leave places like Venezuela, Honduras, Syria, and now Russia, migration is going to be a problem for the destination countries.

You don't solve that by building a wall and MAGAing your way out of it.
Pelosi has one and it seems to work for her. Just sayin’

What would Trump do? He wouldn't even dare to speak against Putin.
Yeah, I mean he's not even the President anymore and he can't condemn the war without also praising Putin. Literally, "of course he's (Putin) smart... the problem is, our leaders are dumb."

Trump admires Putin's ability to remain in power by manipulating the "democratic" oligarchy and suppressing anyone who speaks out against him. It's what he wishes he could do here.

Trump isn’t President and may never be again.
There's one word in this sentence which is why people still talk about - and have to talk about - Donald Trump.

If that word wasn't "may" but instead "will", I personally wouldn't ever speak about Trump. But until he is off the political stage for good, he needs to be talked about, denigrated, and exposed for what he is.

If talking about the LEADING CANDIDATE for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 is TDS, then sure, I have TDS too. When he becomes politically irrelevant, I will never talk about him again, just as I never talked about him before calendar year 2016.

YOU may not vote for him in a primary, but I have zero doubt you would in the general again... and that's the problem. As long as he is potentially viable for Republicans in the general, he has outsize influence on the party. And his influence on the party is NOT a positive development for this country. The candidates he's endorsing are - broadly - idiots, and the only qualification they have is that they're willing to stand by Trump's lies.

Now, I think if he gets nominated again, he may give up 400 electoral votes this time, and that would be truly awesome... but I seriously hope it doesn't get there.

As I've said before, the longer the party is wed to Trump, the more deeply entrenched the Democratic hold on power will become.

We need to separate from Trump, win the House and/or Senate in 2022 to stave off the progressives, and then put forth a viable candidate in 2024 to combat whomever the Democrats put up. I think if Trump is put up, you're probably getting Biden again. If you put up someone else, you might go up against Newsom or someone else more imminently beatable.

But Trump isn't beating Biden (or probably anyone else) in 2024. Make him irrelevant.

Step back and compare the policies and direction of the country between Trump and Biden. We were much better off with Trump. Ignore the personality and look at the policy

They're called "Wingnuts" for a reason.

What do YOU think is the desired endgame for MGT and other election-denier QAnon "Republican" asshats?

Come on, man. When you start bitching about the extremes of the party, you lose all credibility.
Why do you think I said that? It started with lefty posters like Bob saying MTG is a mainstream R now. If she is a mainstream R, AOC, Tlaib, Cori Bush, etc., are likewise mainstream Ds. BTW, I don’t think any of them are mainstream, but they all suck up a lot of oxygen in the room.

No.

It’s not “personality”. It’s character. It’s who he empowered in this country. It is engaging in every single fight to protect his own name rather than respecting dissenting opinions and allowing for free press.

Calling it “personality” enables him.

Stop it.

You want to stall policy, take Congress. You want leadership, fix the President. And I agree that Biden sucks, yet I would STILL vote for him AGAIN over Trump in a heartbeat. That’s how bad I think Trump was for the country.

Trump Republicans are the mainstream. Fix it.

But no, you and BSIT and these other guys are all about “mean tweets” being the reason people like me abhor Trump. “Mean tweets”. Sure.

I don’t like many of Biden’s policies… and yet, if it’s him vs. Trump, I will 100% without hesitation vote for Biden again. Without question.

Policies come and go. Undermining the fabric of the country takes a lot longer to reverse than an executive order or 15.

You mean like Biden is doing? He will be lucky to know when his name is called by 2024, let alone be running for President.

They are not in charge. They are barely relevant in their party.

I get the socialist thing. I don’t agree that’s their intent but at least the progressive agenda has some similarities if you choose to see it that way.
But the dictatorship accusation is pure projection. Both parties want to be in control, but only one side is taking clear steps toward authoritarianism. Only one side is trying control people’s private lives. Only one side took clear action to stay in power and nullify an election. Only one side has a leader that, by his own words, thinks he can do anything he wants as president.
College debt bailout grass roots initiative would seem to counter your argument. That is pure Bernie Sanders, who then got support from Warren and AOC. The far left has some level of control over Biden, and if you cannot see it, you are blind.

The initiative didn’t even get a vote in the house…why is that?

Biden as President without voting control in the Senate may have been successful, but when you give control to the progressive Democrats (and they all pretty much are with exception to Manchin and Sinema…wanna argue that, when was the last vote the failed in the house?) than this administration was doomed to be worse than Carter’s. Biden pretty much adapted everything the progressives wanted to assure he became President (short of letting all prisoners free from Federal prisons aka the Breathe Act).

Biden will do what he is told by Nancy and Chuck, who will do anything to keep the voting progressives supporting them.

Manchin is the only person that kept this country from blowing up due to the Democrats in ability to control spending. We were one senate vote away from an economic nuclear holocaust and had Manchin and Sinema voted for build back better would’ve sunk America for a decade…and the Democrats wouldn’t have given a shit if it happened

Even Manchin and Sinema caved in the end and the Progressives got a chunk of their Green New Deal anyway.

I’m pretty realistic about what Biden is doing and it ain’t all good.

YOU and yours want to completely ignore trump. Are you hoping he’s going to change or just go away…….because you see it. Maybe you just can’t admit you support a compulsive, narcissistic liar. Just don’t talk about it.

He ain’t going away, apparently like your indifference to his lunacy.

Did you hear the FBI was looking for RussiaRussiaRussia documents at MAR too? It’s true.
Bob, I've spent the weekend with some Purdue friends I haven't seen in many years. Two couldn't make it. One got the Chinese virus let on us (his words) and the other laid his mother's ashes to rest. One of the four that did make it (ex football player as were his other four brothers) has M.S. and was on crutches and so I never saw this until moments ago.

Now, there isn't really anything to add to what I already wrote. The media and politicians have chased Chump for six years. I'll let this play out as well. However, my concerns as already stated have to do with Biden's group which I consider much worse than anything that could finally be found out about Trump. Anybody that holds a different opinion is fine. It would scare me if everyone agreed with me. I would think, "What the hell did I say?"

I can't speak for anyone else but I post on here and other places daily about Trump because I love democracy and freedom. I truly believe that 45 and his movement is the single greatest threat we've faced as a country since the civil war. I'm going to beg, plead or shame people to wake up and see that this life long con man and criminal is unfit to be president again.
Lol how dramatic and can you explain his “movement” that is so threatening? Is it more threatening than what Democrats are doing to this country? Keep begging, pleading, and shaming one message board post at a time. The party appreciates the hard work behind the keyboard.

Tell you what, bone. Just start funneling the money to me that you contribute every time you get a desperate email from some right wing grifter and I’ll happily continue the grift with your donation. I’ll also lie and tell you I moved since you’re so easily duped.
If you would have taken all that money that you and Bob donated to BLM and invested in Biden's stock market (instead of giving it to BLM leadership so they could buy $5 million dollar mansions), you'd be sitting on a nice return. Oh....wait.....

BSIT has also said he'd vote for Trump again, so the TDS retort from him becomes even more laughable and eye-rolling.
I hope Trump doesn't run. I don't want him to run. I want him to decide he doesn't need the headache and get behind DeSantis.
But, if he does run, and he's the Republican nominee, I'd vote for him all day, every day (and twice on Sundays) over any democrat.

I am 100% happy with my vote, BSIT. I don't hide behind it. I'm not the one saying 'Trump needs to go' and then in the next sentence saying 'I'll vote for Trump' while dragging out the dead, rotted corpse of 'TDS' because you have no actual talking points. Go enjoy the beach.
"Voting for Biden because you don't like Trump is like eating a dog turd because you don't like broccoli"

I've asked a simple question how can a President declassify documents just by "thinking about it", and yet no Trump supporters give me a straight answer how this is not nonsense. They can't defend what Trump said, so they went with the playbook, which is to accuse others of TDS.

Biden restores the respect the global community towards America. He is able to unite Europe and support Ukraine to put Putin in a very bad position. What would Trump do? He wouldn't even dare to speak against Putin. The way he sided with Putin over America's intelligence at Helsinki was the most embarrassing thing I've seen from an American President on an international stage. Putin was happily waiting for Trump to piss off all our allies, or even withdraw from NATO. Thankfully, Trump was defeated, and Biden was able to help stop Russia's advance.

Look, I think Biden is very wrong to forgiven student loan without Congress' approval. That isn't how democracy supposed to work. I am not afraid to speak against it. Yet, when Trump said nonsense like "declassify just by thinking", all these people who accuse others of TDS bit their tongue. That's TDS. They let Trump affect their judgment. If Biden says the same thing, "I am President. I can declassify documents just by thinking," I bet you will come out and ridicule him for dementia. This kind of hypocrisy is disgusting.
The international community loves Biden because he's a whimp. Putin knows this which is why he attacked Ukraine under Biden and not Trump.

The Dems can't look at Trump the policy-maker, they can only look at Trump as the mean tweeter, feelings hurter.
To them, it's all about feelings, it's not about results. I'm sure Biden is a nice old man, probably fun to talk to and makes everyone feel good, but holy crap, is he a terrible POTUS.

My bad. You actually said before that Trump was arguably the greatest President in US history. Why would you not vote for him?
I still think this is true based on his accomplishments and where we were as a country during his presidency, but, I think there's too many people in the middle, and some who vote Repub, who can't separate Trump the person from Trump the President and that hurts the Republican efforts. I think DeSantis can be a similar policymaker and win a lot of independents as well as almost all the Repubs. Have Haley or Scott as a VP and they'll pull in a good number of Dems also.

You've said this so many times. How would Haley or Scott pull in democrats? These 2 have the same jacked up policies as any other republican. However, whoever they would pair up with will be a 1000 times better than a Chump ticket.

Are you serious? Dems love identity politics and they're not necessarily focus on policy. So, a black man or a WOC as VP would destroy a lot of the democrat narrative.
I think Trump got something like 15% of the black vote? With Scott as VP, you're talking 20+%, easily.
Both Haley and Scott would appeal to middle of the road, undecided and non-affiliated voters, where as Trump probably alienated that same group.

Chump actually got 12% of the black vote. Most of them were the younger black voters and conservatives.

Similar to Clarence Thomas, the majority of blacks do not like Tim Scott's policies. Black conservatives will be the only ones voting for any ticket Scott is on. I'm telling you black democrats will not vote for Tim Scott. They may peg a few from the black conservative-leaning independent ranks. Either way, there won't be enough to sway an election. Heck, that ticket will turn away the republican white supremacist vote. That will offset any possible gains in the black vote. David Duke ain't voting for Tim Scott.

Haley and Scott will never join the Chump ticket anyhow. I am sure they and other well meaning republicans do not want to be part of that train wreck again. Chump's running mate will be of the ring kissin', 2020 election was stolen type. I believe Haley and Scott do not believe that the 2020 election was stolen.

The bottom line is that the democrats could care less about any female or black republican on an election ticket. It will take Cheney to flip parties.

Speaking of which, the intriguing ticket to me is Pence/.Cheney.

I'm interested to know what your definition of a white supremist is and what % of the US population falls into that category.

I sleep very well at night, if that's what you're asking. I'd sleep even better if I knew the Biden economy wasn't in the shitter.
What I find ironic is "smart" people are happy to suffer more now under the current administration because the well off are now suffering more financial hardship. Class envy makes "misery loves company" a reality.
