Both Hunter and Ivey played for 30 and 36 minutes. Hunter had 0 pts and Ivey 9 pts...OUR guards who were use to averaging 24 pts. had 9. Even a poor performance by the two one would have estimated 12 to 15 combined which would have changed the outcome dramatically. So our season ended on that. While St. Peters played a solid game and deserves credit for that...nothing can hide the fact that 2 of our KEY PLAYERS had just terrible performances, if one of them had been average or met expectation offensively we move on. Enough said, but CMP's focus off season is very clear and IT was not part of that solution , so being honest there and opening two scholarships up gets us close back to sweet 16 next year and who knows . Gillis , Edey, Tre, SS at least showed up and met some expectation in line with what they were suppose to. Just saying , if the lotto pick is going to shine this is the time, show me the money!!!! and a 3 pt basket from Hunter would have been appreciated. See ya next season boys and girls. Here's to 2 good guards from the portal and the newbies. JI and Hunter can watch 2 teams in the FF that they beat and say , "would of, could of, should been us bro"...
