His INT while driving to get us from 10 down to less was all on him.I feel Card has the tools but the O-line is garbage.
he's the least of our worries w/ this teamI feel Card has the tools but the O-line is garbage.
General lack of consistency across the board. That’s coaching.he's the least of our worries w/ this team
You actually bring up a great point. Card has 1-2 seconds to get rid of the ball on most downs whereas the opponents QB has all kinds of time.I think a better comparison would be Hudson Card and Jeff George. Good QBs with little time to make a play before getting sacked.
Go Purdue!

Brady Allen hasn't shown that he's remotely ready to start yet at the P5 level and he didn't play well in Spring ball under Walters.I was never a big Hudson Card fan. I saw him play in a few games for Texas on TV and was not impressed at all. Yes he could run a bit but he’s not a classic drop at passer at all. I was ecstatic when Brady Allen chose Purdue and I always thought he was our future. Brady has a big arm and it would’ve fit in perfectly at the cradle of quarterbacks. That’s why I’m not sold on our current head coach at all. He let Brady just walk right out on us. A quarterbacks job at Purdue is to throw the football, dual threat, ain’t gonna cut it!
Totally agree. Unfortunately, for Card he pretty much has to play the best game of his life week in and week out for us to win. I dont want to imagine this offense without Card right now.Brady Allen hasn't shown that he's remotely ready to start yet at the P5 level and he didn't play well in Spring ball under Walters.
I find this to be a rather narrow opinion, as Card has shown that he can make all of the throws. He needs to improve his reads and not try to force as many throws into double and triple coverage, but hopefully that will improve the longer that he is in this new system. He reminds me of a poor man's Andrew Luck, i.e., not a QB who relies on their scrambling ability like a Vick or Lamar Jackson, but a QB who scrambles when nobody is open, or the pocket has collapsed. Oh, let's not forget that both Luck and now Card were and are running for their lives on nearly every play behind a porous offensive line.
I'm not at all convinced that a statuesque pocket passer will make it through an entire season behind this offensive line.
If Card goes down, we are screwed BIG time.Totally agree. Unfortunately, for Card he pretty much has to play the best game of his life week in and week out for us to win. I dont want to imagine this offense without Card right now.
Yes. This is pretty common.Am I the only one annoyed Card claps his hands to snap the ball?
Brady Allen would end up in the ER behind this OL.I was never a big Hudson Card fan. I saw him play in a few games for Texas on TV and was not impressed at all. It is a little better than the Etling OL though. I still don’t know how he survived that year.Brady Allen would end up in the ER behind this OL.
Card reminds me of Carson Wentz, when he played w/ better cast he looked good but when w/ lessen talent surrounding him he is forced to do some things.I think a better comparison would be Hudson Card and Jeff George. Good QBs with little time to make a play before getting sacked.
