I could go to grade school and barely pass my's read'n and a writ'n. Move into middle school and realize that a "toothbrush" is more accurate of a description. End up dropping out of high school to support my wife and child. Never setting foot on a college campus outside of collecting it's recyclables and I would still have the right to identify as a Hooiser.
By contrast, one would have to attend college to identify as a Boilermaker.
