I thought Brian had some really insightful answers about the "grey area" things that go into basketball recruiting these days.
I'm curious to see what people on the board think about these issues: Would you prefer that Painter begin using some of these grey areas (recruiting committed prospects, hiring AAU/connected coaches, agent quid pro quo's) and/or some of the out-and-out illegal actions (impermissible contact, 3rd party payment for visits)?
Personally, I wouldn't mind it if he was a little more aggressive on guys who were verbally committed elsewhere, especially if they've expressed a willingness to still be recruited. But as for the other actions, I'm glad CMP has stayed away from them.
Thoughts?
