Great Day

And just read that Kelley was a douche in his pressser. ND can't lose enough if for no other reason, just to watch that jackwagon throw a tantrum.
yea, but I want them to win enough to keep him cause I can see nd going after Stoops id Kelley is canned.

I hate them as well, but what are their problems?
I feel they still have an imagine problem. And they got off light as the sanctions were progressively reduced as time went on. A lot of people including me feel they never really paid for their crime. There was no down period for them. I think the sanctions should have been setup to force them to rebuild that program. They never did. Compare it to USC. They had a clear setback from their sanctions that they have only kind of recovered from.
When Tiller was here, nd went through a few coaches and we held our own in Indy. I think if we continue this rise and they struggle, we won't automatically be ruled out by 4 star recruits. Because the last few years, I can't blame kinds for not being interested in us.

The key will be hitting the high schools very hard because the kids who will be coming to Purdue when Brohm has had time to show improvement and consistency are now freshman and sophomores. By all indications, the entire staff and Bobinski are doing just that.

Perception.

I read somewhere this week that the coach who saw Sandusky in the shower with the kid was told by paterno that he had received another report of a similar incident.

Paterno knew and did nothing until he had to. The school is fighting rather than accepting responsibility.

The red head coach, I can't think of his name, has suffered unfairly for standing up to the school

Maybe not a problem for some. It makes me sick.

perception, maybe for some, but the NCAA seems to come down hard on small schools and these big machines like psu and USC can take the hits. They still have the reality of places that have long winning traditions, money producers, and producers of pro players. Even when they are "crippled" w/ sanctions they still have 90-95 K in the stands and manage 5-6 wins. Compare that to our program w/ no sanctions. I'll be waiting as the year goes on w/ psu going undefeated or one loss for ABC, BTN, or ESPN to have this big production as psu being the Phoenix rising up out of the ashes. Mike McQueray was the redhaired coach. Them fighting rather than accepting responsibilty, they accepted alot from the NCAA right away then fought a bit. They seemed to want to get it over with and move on quickly and get things back to normal. I can tell you by living out here in Pa., their fans are back and could care less. They are only interested in whats going on w/ their current team and success.

The majority of recruits that commit to ND usually don't give Purdue the time of day. That being said, ND continuing to fail is good from a state school perspective. As their influence and footprint decreases, fans will put their money into IU and Purdue instead. It was crazy how many UGA fans packed their stadium and I don't know if that's because there was a larger allotment or because their fans didn't show up but it basically made it seem like a neutral field.

The day after Purdue looked really good for the second game this year. o$u and nd both lose at home.

I don't like OSU, but I do like the B10 doing well. Never understood people wanting top B10 teams to look bad on national tv. Don't you want to be in the best perceived football conference?

A large part of this is that I don't live in the midwest. I am tired of always hearing about the SEC.

I hope IU loses every athletic contest 100 - 0...that includes rowing, which isn't possible...but I hope their boat gets a slow leak and they have to pull over on to the river bank.

Seems to me lots of ND fans selling their tickets to secondary markets or becoming apathetic to the Kelly-led program. Hard to be an ND fan and clamor how great you are while going 6-6 or so.....
I had a customer that wanted (3) tickets the UGA - ND game. They were going for over $1,000 each for an OK seat. Personally, I couldn't stand paying anything for a ND game, but sure as h--- wasn't going to pay that. Unfortunately, for me, the game kind of reminded me of the Colletto years when ND would take over Ross Ade and half would chant "GO" and the other half "Irish". I walked out when that happened. I cheer for whoever ND plays.

Yes, except when they nd. I'd rather the b10 notch anther victory against that team from south bend.

It's hard for me to imagine notre dame fans selling that many tickets on the secondary market! But then again, if some fool is going to give me $1,000 or more for a football ticket, I'd sell it in a heartbeat! But to sell that many tickets, I have to believe travel agents were involved as part of package deals

With the ATT issue with the local NBC station in Indy, most ND fans can't even watch the game, unless they have an antenna.

Win/Win situation!

If we were a favorite to match up with osu in the B1G tittle game, I would have wanted them to win that. But it's not like osu winning that game is going to have an impact on our SOS.
