Is it just me or is CMP have a way of "building confidence" with his players? Hate to hear what he is saying about the other player(s) who might be in his doghouse!

Painter: No twin towers vs. IU
Jeff Rabjohns | 1/27/2015
Will Purdue play both 7-foot A.J. Hammons and 7-foot-2 Isaac Haas together against a small Indiana team on Wednesday?
Matt Painter said no and explained why this afternoon on the Dan Dakich radio show.
"It's a great theory question. In reality, they don't make decisions and they don't handle ball screens like David West and Luis Scola," Painter said, referring to two Indiana Pacers forwards.
"They lead us in turnovers. They're our two worst free throw shooters. They just made our transition defense a nightmare. You double up everything that you're struggling with already."
Painter later added: "If it were Gus Macker, I'd do it."
The No. 21 Hoosiers (15-5, 5-2 Big Ten) play at Purdue (12-8, 4-3 Big Ten) Wednesday night (9 p.m., Big Ten Network).
Painter notes that Ohio State was plus 20 when it went small against Indiana on Sunday and that going small is the best way to defend Troy Williams and IU's shooters.
"You don't have to fly in Red Auerbach to get that figured out," Painter said.
Ohio State beat Indiana 82-70 on Sunday. IU started 8-for-8 from the field, but turnovers and an inability to slow guard D'Angelo Russell changed that game.
Ohio State started Anthony Lee but put its bigs on the bench for much of the rest of the game.
"We're prepared to play with Haas. We're prepared to play with Hammons. We're prepared to play without both of them, Painter said.
Hammons leads Purdue in scoring (10.7), rebounding (6.1) and blocked shots (2.5) per game. He plays 22 minutes per game.
Haas averages 9.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 rebounds per game. He plays 16.6 minutes per game.
