What grade would you give Purdue football for the 2015 season and why?

Anything other than an "F" is not reasonable. There has been a total failure by the Athletic Dept, the coaching staff and the players. This season is an embarrassment.

An "A" for hydration - I saw very little cramping this fall.
As Coach Hat would say: "progress"!

F. We are a backup QB (Nebraska) away from being 1-11

Year 1 under Hazell was a D+. New scheme, bare cupboard, Danny Hope is the devil.

Year 2 was a D-. One Big Ten win. Loss to IU with a 3rd string QB. Looked terrible last two games. Could be an F.

F, team struggled to do anything right. Yeah, we were close in a few games but we lost. Winning only 2 games this year is unacceptable. Coaching staff is a joke.

Put the question to Haz - Here's the facts: We are a sub 100 ranked team, last place in B1G West, only 1 win over a Div 1 Team, blown out in 5 of the losses.

These generalities really don't help. I think it is better to break the team down to more specific areas and grade each one so that we know what needs to be worked on next year. You have to prioritize things.

Offensive - F
Defense - F
Special Teams - F
Coaching - F
Recruiting - F

Well, after further review that really doesn't help much, does it?

There are some good kids on the team. Just because the coaching deserves a poor grade doesn't mean the kids do too. For all we know they were just doing what they were told. I was impressed by Jones running the ball this year... now why he didn't play every down for the team is a bit of a coaching mystery to me.

I agree I would give the offense a D. Jones was a bright spot.

Yes, to be truthful we weren't at the bottom of the conference in either offense or defense - closer to the bottom in defense, but still ahead of Indiana in PPG and Rutgers and IU in YPG. Offensively, we were better than 4 teams in both scoring and yardage. I guess we are 2-10 because we were bad at both offense and defense.

tons and tons of penalties. incoherent game plans. failure to evaluate talent. failure to recruit adequately. F=Failure.
