I like to hear something like the rest of you but it's moving slower. I rather wait a few more days and get the right guy than to panic and grab another hazell. Now that the championship games are over Purdue should be able to talk more in detail.

Exactly, MB2 has to get this one right for us.

Agreed. We don't need to give a lottery ticket to another Hazell. There has to be an even footing in this contract. It can't be oh ur hired what you do out there doesn't matter here is 15 million by the way. That isn't getting it done. No more of that. Heavy incentives for immediate performance and also for getting 4-5 star recruits. I am for a weighted contract with heavier base pay on the back 2 years of contract with a buyout at cheep cost after two years with a heavy compensation on wins to weigh that out. Schools like Alabama are expected to get the most popular guy. But how a school like Purdue can contend with that is heavy incentive based packaging in these contracts. Offer Alabama pay, but only if Alabama performance is delivered. That is how you attract up and coming thinking coaches who have the idea who have a way to compete. People who have a championship background in major college play or a dynasty established somewhere in college football at lower ranks, if we can't get the most attractive coach at face value out of the big ranks.

Exactly....a realistic contract that works for both parties and has the potential to place the golden handcuffs on when the coach meets or exceeds expectations...Very simple.. But we all know that MB1 isn't teaching that philosophy at KSOB..... don't we.
