Heavy incentives for immediate performance and also for getting 4-5 star recruits. I am for a weighted contract with heavier base pay on the back 2 years of contract with a buyout at cheep cost after two years with a heavy compensation on wins to weigh that out. Schools like Alabama are expected to get the most popular guy. But how a school like Purdue can contend with that is heavy incentive based packaging in these contracts. Offer Alabama pay, but only if Alabama performance is delivered. That is how you attract up and coming thinking coaches who have the idea who have a way to compete. People who have a championship background in major college play or a dynasty established somewhere in college football at lower ranks, if we can't get the most attractive coach at face value out of the big ranks.
