Just hope the home state program does not come a callingLed the state of Georgia last year in rushing. That is no small feat in that state.
If we can’t keep him from Valdosta State that will be an issue.Just hope the home state program does not come a calling
just from his highlights, looks like a really good back. We've done w/ RB's from GA.If we can’t keep him from Valdosta State that will be an issue.
This is what happens in the SEC when you can count past ten without taking your shoes off.Led state of GA in rushing but no SEC offers.
Had an offer from Arkansas from what I saw.Led state of GA in rushing but no SEC offers. A little odd there. Welcome aboard the train!
Or DJ Knox.A (healthy) Ralph Bolden type RB would be great
High school stats are irrelevantLed state of GA in rushing but no SEC offers. A little odd there. Welcome aboard the train!
He's not a power back with this size. He would fit fine into a spread offense like ours if he can catch and pick up a LB in pass protection. It looks to me like he has plenty of speed. He should be a nice player for us.Decent offer list with Ark, GT, NC state, Wake and others. Similar in size to a lot of past PU running backs 5'10, 200, but looks to have a good burst, cut back ability and able to get the corner.
Maybe for some running backs.High school stats are irrelevant
Go look at the GA career rushing records. Guarantee youve never heard of the leader.Maybe for some running backs.
Well not everyone can be Spegal.Go look at the GA career rushing records. Guarantee youve never heard of the leader.
And be that "relief valve" out of the backfield as an extra receiver when everyone else is covered.if he can catch and pick up a LB in pass protection
Got that right. Barely heard of any on the career or season list. One thing I saw was Brown had 418 yards last year in a playoff game. Not bad.Go look at the GA career rushing records. Guarantee youve never heard of the leader.
Not irrelevant but part of a recruiting profile that should be viewed in the context of the competitionHigh school stats are irrelevant
1) Guess who the all time leader in rushing yardage is in GA HS historyNot irrelevant but part of a recruiting profile that should be viewed in the context of the competition
One extreme example doesn't invalidate high school stats. You're essentially saying that there are false positives which is true in some cases but I would be skeptical of a highly touted recruit that produced mediocre stats against high school competition.1) Guess who the all time leader in rushing yardage is in GA HS history
2) Go look up the list
College ratings and scholarships are about projection to the next level. Stats help with that projection, but not a lot of weight is put on them. One extreme example doesn't invalidate high school stats. It's part of a recruiting profile that has to be viewed with awareness of other factors. Certainly not irrelevant.
Yes, stats help with the projection so they're not irrelevant as you said earlier.College ratings and scholarships are about projection to the next level. Stats help with that projection, but not a lot of weight is put on themo high
pedantic arguments are my specialty: High school stats are irrelevant to his not holding SEC offers.Yes, stats help with the projection so they're not irrelevant as you said earlier.
So if stats help with the projection as you pointed out, then how are stats irrelevant? That's not pedantic, you directly contradict yourself.pedantic arguments are my specialty: High school stats are irrelevant to his not holding SEC offers.
