Thats a lot of roster turnover. Hard to imagine they are as good as their ranking, but I really dont know how these numbers translate from foreign teams to college.

This Venter's guy from Eastern Washington scored quite a bit but played in the Big Sky conference which had an RPI ranking of 26 which is a notch below the Horizon league. The guy was listed as 6'7" 175 pounds last year. That's 3 inches taller and 10 pounds less than Loyer. If they were counting on him to be a difference maker they're not a top 20 team.

Agreed. I was not aware they are basically a new team of new parts....with only 3 returnees. So much for the revenge factor from our beat down of them last year.

Earlier I predicted G might have a chance to beat us....after looking at that roster, not so sure. Can't imagine we lose to that bunch now?.....But in college ball anything is possible on any given day.

Hard to truly know much about them yet.

Glancing at roster they have no answer for Edey down low, but might try to take him away from the basket on the other end and expose him that way with some of their skilled big guys.

A lot of 6'8-6'10 forwards, so maybe this is a game where we see TKR shine. Some people have been down on him, but I'm actually impressed that he isn't forcing anything and being patient within the offense. Defensively I haven't noticed him either, which typically means you are doing your job and not getting beat one on one.

Also, this Tourney will be great to see where Braden stacks on national stage. Nembhard, Ziegler/Mintz, Harris/Kolek in 3 straight days will be a great test for him. I'm sure he's eager to get out there and compete.

We're going to see a ton of high pick and roll and pick and pop. They will test Edey for sure. Really looking forward to this week.

They don’t have one player to match up with Zach, but no one really does for the most part. They will be all over Edey with there bigs since they have at least 3 guys (Ike, Greg, Huff not counting 2other bench guys) to alternate in on him. Yes they’ll be smaller 6’8” and up but that’s 15 fouls to give and I think they will plan on playing extra physical/aka fouling the shit outta him as part of their defensive plan. Who knows how the game will be called? I also think they’ll try to get him in foul trouble, which normally doesn’t work but it does just depend on the guy with the whistle lol.
🖤💛🏀 BTFU Turnovers and ability of others to hit shots will determine the outcome. I can honestly see a large margin of victory if we’re firing on all cylinders.

Great! Let them foul him 15 times and send him to the line 10 times where he will convert 15+ FT's. I'm totally fine with that as long as he doesn't get hurt.

Add in another 12-16 points on hooks and dunks and you have a 30 pt game against a top 11 team.

did well vs Kolek last year in fact took the game over in the 2nd half

Curious to see Huff their 6’10” freshman play since he’s been pretty good against the lesser competition he’s played against
