Man I wish we had landed him. Has 34 points (7 of 8 threes) and keeping Nebraska in this double OT game against Iowa.
So is Jok
Wish I could have caught this one......and that's with the Huskers going 19-35 from the line, although went 6-6 in the first OT period.
Wonder if there were any "Frantrums?"
There was a big frantrum when they mistakenly announced that Jok had five fouls. It was quickly corrected but Fran was going ballistic. Here it is:
Didn't we get Hammons because we lost out on him?On that note, after last night's game, I wish Trevor Thompson picked Purdue.
maybe we get that set up the next few years.Yeh, I talked about this after Nebraska beat iu. Watson would have looked great in a Boiler uni. He and CE would have been a nasty duo on the perimeter.
Just and FYI: an SI article this week mentioned having 2 PG types on final four teams. Which, coincidentally, has always been our weak spot.
Didn't we get Hammons because we lost out on him?
Rather have AJ
Thompson transferred in 2014, so the timing was closer to Swanigan. Biggie may have made a different business decision if we had a Junior Thompson on the roster for 2015-16. I'll take Biggie.Didn't we get Hammons because we lost out on him?

I could be mistaken but I believe Watson was a verbal commit at one point to replace Ronnie Johnson. That's when Ronnie started his whole twitter thing about sauce. I think watson and RJ are friends and ronnnie didn't help the situation after he decided to transfer.Did Painter offer? Iknow he recruited Watson some, but cannot remember how hard.
That was the kid that went to Florida State Walker I think)I could be mistaken but I believe Watson was a verbal commit at one point to replace Ronnie Johnson. Matt is on record as of a couple of years ago in saying he would like to play two pg players. FWIW, Watson wanted to go to Purdue, but it didn't work out. I can't recall any specifics but do recall a couple of tweetsYeh, I talked about this after Nebraska beat iu. Watson would have looked great in a Boiler uni. oh, so start my day off with a sick stomach...thanks. I think Grant was a hope to bring Guy along as well. Oh well, Carsen is working out...We didn't take Watson because Grant Weatherford committed.
We didn't take Watson because Grant Weatherford committed.
Say it is not so......that would have been an epic screw up.....
That's probably the most disappointing misses we've had that nobody is talking about. I thought for sure he was going to end up at Purdue. I really liked his game last year, but this year, he's probably All B1GMan I wish we had landed him. Has 34 points (7 of 8 threes) and keeping Nebraska in this double OT game against Iowa.
That was actully CJ "Too Saucy" Walker who kinda plays at F$U. But you gotta love an idiot who throws away a full ride in the B10, (Ronnie) then goes out of his way to Tweet about Walker decommiting from Purdue and making a complete and utter ass clown of himself.I could be mistaken but I believe Watson was a verbal commit at one point to replace Ronnie Johnson. I promise you. Brian has stated a bunch of times that all our PG offers went out the window once GW committed.I don't recall that. I think Watson was a possibility for a while, along with Hyron Edwards. Jalen Brunson had an offer as well....I don't know if Watson ever did have an official offer....he narrowed his list and eventually chose Nebraska, but I don't think it was because Purdue went another direction or didn't have room. I thought Watson was more of a possibility than Brunson at one point.
There's other posters who are much closer to the recruiting news who can provide more insight.
Regardless, Carsen Edwards and Nojel Eastern are signs to me that CMP is starting to make some inroads in the backcourt....recruiting wise.....still room for getting better.
I'm not close, but I do not think Watson got the offer either. Lots of interest. I only say that because of a couple of tweets between us...and I just don't tweet.I don't recall that.
