Glenn Mason not holding back in this one

24 wins 35 losses at New Mexico. 13 wins 24 losses in conference.
my statement was by no means a backing of Morgue's tastes, I read an article the other day on New Mexico's current season and considering that situation they are having a fine season w/ a really good rushing attack.

Sorry, misunderstood.

Davie took over a team in shambles at New Mexico. NM had won 3 games in the previous 3 years combined when he replaced the old OC from Illinois down there. They will now be going back to back bowl games. NM is 7-3 overall and 1st place the their side of the Mountain West at 5-1. The other coach that I saw mentioned on these threads is Calhoun from Air Force who is a proven capable of winning with less talent. If Purdue isn't able to get a coach like Fleck who can out-recruit the big boys, it may be worth taking a page out of Tiller's book and run an offense that is different than everybody else in the league... Have to do something different for an advantage schematically. I remember when Tiller first got to the Big Ten and the opposing defense heads were spinning. When you look at the Big Ten offenses, their are 2 that you don't see at all. The 5 wide Texas Tech style or the spread triple option like Air Force/New Mexico. Just a thought since the board had my thinking about Calhoun and Davie...

Can Fleck out-recruit the big boys when he is at a place that has harder entry requirements than Western Michigan? He has some talent- that talent could not get in to a lot of other places.
