If this is true...we better get him at a total bargain with no f'in buyout. What a sad CF our program has become in 10 years.
Stand back everyone, there will be plenty of season tickets to go around! Possibly like all of them. If Purdue hires "safe" with Brock Spack, then they should ask for search firm $$ back. So disappointing!
I think we would get him for a reasonable price, let's say Hazell $$ which now is average, and could allocate a lot of $$$ for assistants. Maybe hire Olson to OC at around a million. Let Olson run the O with complete control. Bring back Joel Thomas to coach RB and Taylor Stubblefield to coach WR. Retain Funk or Lester since they don't stink as much of Hazell. Retain Randy Melvin as DL, bring back Lou Anarumo as DC and we have a solid B+ staff.
No way. MB2 has no allegiance to him and wants a landmark hire. Spack is not it.

Spack probably is in the picture. Multiple sources report he's interviewed.
But, I'd be shocked if Stash was hired this weekend. MB2 knows he has to make a statement with this hire. My bet is that Spack is the "all else fails" option.
And there are ways for Bobinski to communicate that to him without being condescending.

Have to tell you. If that's the case - I wish him and the program well. However, I would consider that the most uninspiring hire ever.
