We'll it's game time and for those who wiill be attending these weekend games we all will be getting our first look at this purdue team. I'm so so excited to finally get to see my son play in his first college game that I got goose bumps. Yes I still occasionally read posts and yet some of these posts are intriguing but yet these are you all opinions. Remember this when some of you try to figure out who playing what, who starting, who will get what minutes etc there is no I in team and this team will be playing for one another as a team. I'll be in the stands wearing my son #20 jersey cheering my son and purdue on for a win. For those who are parents maybe you can understand my excitement like when I saw my son take his 1st step and now getting and opportunity to see my son wear that jersey proudly in his first college game makes me proud to be his mother. We'll boiler fans see you tomorrow. PS for those who have opinions about Matt painter not getting purdue to final Fours south Caroline, Oregon wasn't suppose to be there and that wasn't luck it was a team playing really well as a team and got hot at the right time. Duke bounced after 1st round Kansas bounced elite 8 Kentucky bounced elite 8. Purdue time is coming and I believe it can happen this season if they play together as a team and get hot at the right time because they got the pieces to make that run we just might get there just think positive. Matt painter is a hellava coach and person and and I'm proud as a parent that he is coaching my son because he believes in his players and he wants nothing but the best for each one of them. It's boiler time.

I'll be totally honest with you. As a fan I wasn't feeling it for basketball right now. Not sure if that's because it is football season or because these are exhibition games or what. But after reading your post from the perspective of a proud parent I've got my bball juices going!

Thank you for your support of the team, the program, and Coach Painter, among others.....for expressing your feelings and for your guidance of your son to become a Boilermaker. From all indications, he is a fine upstanding young man who is willing to work hard and be part of a true team.....and I'm sure your role was no small measure. He's also starting out showing he can be one helluva good player. Thank you also for your candidness, persistence, and resilience to give your thoughts on this board.....I can assure you, many appreciate that even if it's not specifically expressed.

Good luck to you, your son, and the team....during this trip and the upcoming season.....I find myself thinking there could be some really pleasant surprises ahead whether or not through Black & Gold glasses. Looking forward to seeing the team and watching your son develop his game, all while getting an opportunity to experience the full spectrum of what a Purdue education can offer, on and off the court.

I will be at the game. I am happy to support Purdue and the young individuals who choose to play for them. Good luck to your son and you should be very proud. There will be many young ones that look up to him. Boiler up for life.

Thanks for sharing your excitement. I am sure you have seen enough that at times it would be tough to be a mother of one of the players on the team and also follow a message board. God forbid your son have a bad game or miss a game winning shot. It would take pretty thick skin to here negative comments. Not by all, but some. I do have a son that has been a competitive soccer player. Don't think he will end up in a D1 program but D2 is a strong possibility. I am probably harder on my son than others, but when I hear someone else say something it send a burning sensation through my body.

I for one, would like to hear about your journey over the next few years. Like I said, I am not sure if I would attempt to debate some of the posters that are IU fans posing as Purdue fans (trolls) but it would be nice to hear how things are going. I know it cannot be easy on a young man to transition from high school to high D1 basketball. very few slide right in and play to their full ability right from the start.

Would like to hear about MP's Offensive and defensive systems and how hard it is to understand it. We have debated for years that freshmen struggle do to the complexity and lack of understanding. Some get it quicker than others but at some point it all come together and the player becomes more comfortable with the system.

Anyway enjoy the ride and good luck to #20.
