Lot of players getting time...cant seem to get in flow, poor defensewont surprise me if Purdue wins by 12+ New roles and the players we know that can play are so so. Gotta like the Canada center thoughGood start, poor second half. I guess, thank you Canada for waking us up to realize this isn't a cake walk. We are losing at halftime. Buy just one point.
Where are you. Haarms isn't eligible to play but can practice.two best newcomers were Eastern and Wheeler. I never heard haarms or Ewing's names in the second half. C Edwards was good and bad. Mathias was solid. Cline gave good effort. V Edwards had foul trouble, so wheeler stepped in to replace him.
Haas was leading scorer and basically the player of the game. We looked really bad without him. taylor had 4 blocks but was not doing very well rebounding.
Canada made a lot of 3 pointers, but they were all well defended. We (C Edwards, Taylor, Cline and Mathias) missed a lot of three pointers in the second half.
the two plays that stood out to me were Mathias pass to Haas for the dunk when Canada had cut our lead to 4 and was making a run. and the no look behind the back hot dog pass by Wheeler to has that Haas wasn't expecting and went for a turnover. Obviously, Wheeler and Haas had not communicated or practiced that move.
We had an 8 point lead when I started watching and we ended with an 8 point lead and hit 8 of 10 Fts in the last 3 minutes. not bad for a first game.

Could be a little sick...only played 3 minutes.that's correct.
However, did something happen to Ewing? I didn't hear his name mentioned the entire second half.
Grady played about as well as he is capable...played a smart game. Ewing kinda lost in the shuffle tonight a bit. I think we will know more tomorrow than tonight about this teamEifert playing ahead of Ewing??
Good to get the rust off, WUG will end up being very helpful for the young guys playing stressful minutes together.
I believe CMP will know so much more when the Team actually starts to practice for real in the fall, having watched his guys play 8-10 games together will be a great benefit!
Eifert was really good in both halves. Heady defender, generated several turnovers by the Canadiens, fought for rebounds, made good screens and cuts to get a couple layups.Eifert playing ahead of Ewing??

three years of Painter's coaching makes the kid a pretty good player. He gets the most out of his players, regardless of their innate talent.Eifert was really good in both halves. This. He was a real disrupter on D. I was surprised he didn't play more.Eifert was really good in both halves. Heady defender, generated several turnovers by the Canadiens, fought for rebounds, made good screens and cuts to get a couple layups.
