Going to be watching the game on BTN+. I'll try to comment here along the way if anyone else is watching/listening/following.
That's why I say... Katie needs to recruit an elite post player... And an elite power forward....They just don't have much of a post presence at all on this current roster. Still not much speed either. Kyle to me has been a huge disappointment. She's slow...she's doesn't appear to be in great physical shape, etc. I had the opposite opinion of Ellis than you, she didn't impress me that much. A couple of times she went up for layups and the rim of the basket blocked her shot... happened more than once...I thought Moore is a much better answer at PG, or even Jayla Smith. Jayla Smith will have a nice career at Purdue. And I do like Terry as well... But overall it's Madison Layden and lots of other pieces. This will take a couple of years for Katie to fix and get her players in here. Not expecting anything this season.Per Tim Newton on radio, Skye Williams has an ankle injury and has not really practiced yet. Makolo also out with ankle injury. Doumbia out due to unspecified condition. Otherwise the other 12 all played to some degree. Obviously Coach was trying different line-up combos to see what worked.
I thought offense looked okay but D certainly needs some work. We were aggressive and sharp in the first half building a 19 pt lead but then just coasted the rest of the way. We do not have much of a post presence. I was impressed with Ellis as point guard. Terry is very aggressive and strong. Hardin was her usual self - streaky as all get out but when she is on she is on. Got more minutes than last year so more points. Moore was solid except for 4 TO’s and Madison is steadily evolving - she will be All Big Ten soon (this year?).
I was disappointed in Kyle. In 12 mins she got 9 pts but only 3 rebounds and then fouled out (yeah, 5 fouls in 12 mins). I sure expected more of her when she came into the program. Maybe KG can get her to improve - it is still early between them.

Kyle stats besides the fouls in 12 minutes are great, it’s inexcusable to get 5 fouls that quick. She’s still just beginning her second year, hopefully, a light turns on for her, there’s no reason that Gony should be starting over her, that says something.Per Tim Newton on radio, Skye Williams has an ankle injury and has not really practiced yet.
