PSU, Whisky, UM, OSU, and MSU are clearly the class at the top this year....

Next game against Minny is probably an indicator where Purdue falls in that second group. Is Purdue a mid-level bowl team or so they struggle to get to 4 or 5 wins? A strong showing against Minny probably allows Purdue to stare directly at 7 wins....if not, Purdue may struggle to get to 5, imo.

I’m glad for the bye. We can use the break.

I’m still on record thinking we need to stick with Blough. Switching QBs is not a successful strategy. Sindelar’s time will come.

The Big Ten might be the best overall conference this year, but I don't see a NC team between Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio State. Bama and Clemson are on another level.

So do you think Sindelar is better than Blough?

I think they both have areas where they are better than the other.

Sindelar executed the plays called when Blough was getting out of sorts which led to a breakdown in his throwing motion.

Sindelar led Purdue to 10 yards of offense in the second half. He executed nothing in the second half.

MSU is absolute garbage. I don't think any Big Ten team could hang with Bama or Clemson. Michigan might have the best chance, just because their defense is elite. Only allowed 830 total yards in four games. The offense has a TON of work to do. Our o-line is well below average.

I was speaking of the first half as they both played then and that is the half I saw.

I don't disagree that the second half was dismal. I wonder why Brohm didn't switch. (Or did he switch? Again I wasn't able to watch the second half and haven't had a chance to watch the recording)

UM defense adjusted, PU offense didn't that is the reason for the outcome not which QB played.

Brohm said that Blough hurt his shoulder again in the 3rd quarter. That's why he didn't play more.

I tend not to like the alternating QBs, but one thing it did yesterday was show that it didn't really matter which one was on the field in the second half. Our line was getting dominated.

Their D Line was was huge....everyone of them. Made our guys look like kids....

Where did I say MSU would hang with those two teams? From the previous weeks, I saw MSU as probably the fifth best team in the conference behind the other four but probably better than NU, Minny, PU, and Iowa (I'll wait to make a decision on Iowa when I can watch them).

I disagree. I'd put MSU near the bottom end of that 2nd tier. They also have very little depth so they will be more impacted by injuries throughout the year.

Spot on. Going to hurt without Bentley and Thieneman.for a half. Getting a few guys healthy and beating Minnesota will be a large step in the right direction. Minny could be sitting at 4-0 going into this matchup, so their confidence will be high as well. Have to find ways to contol the tempo and flow. This will be a defining moment for Purdue's season.

Difference in this game is Purdue's running backs was hurt just give us one of those running backs that was hurt and I think Purdue's offense does a hell of a lot better there was hose to run in. All in all Purdue did a hell of a job. We had no running game and Michigan knew that with our backs being out

Also not having any good backups on defense our defense just wore out from being exhausted. With the running game I think are offense stays on the field longer and gives the defense a break. Both running backs being out killed our offense

It seemed as though in the first half the misdirection was killing Michigans D. After half they adjusted and stayed disciplined and that became the difference.

Purdue will win more conference games than msu. Their defense is garbage,

Didn't read much in to their earlier games and only scores and the fact they were 2-0. Gave MSU the benefit of the doubt given their recent history. I'll replace MSU with Iowa...and even then might move them given Iowa's history of peeing down its' own leg at times.
