Game one - DEFENSE grade

I am curious how this board of experts would grade the defensive performance from last night's game.

Impressive start, but they were very tired in that 4th quarter.

Solid B. I thought the 4th quarter we gave up too many big plays. We also got some pressures and big stops. Overall, I had some moments where I was impressed. A few head scratching moments, but I liked the DL and DB play.

Maybe an A between the middle of the first and fourth quarters.

Yeah but to be fair they played probably one of the more wide open speedy teams they will see this season..

B. Nobody deserves an A the first week. Need to leave room for improvement each week.

Was a B through most of the game turned into a C when they could not get better stops in the 4th quarter.

B+. Certainly the defense should get a better grade than the offense. While the offense was having trouble putting points on the board until the 4th quarter, the defense kept us in the lead. Not enough substituting caused some fatigue for the defense in the 4th.

Solid B. Not sure if they were just gassed in the 4th or OSU started exploiting something. But, compared to last year, big improvement.
