Remember.....DH 2 was that dynamic young coach too. If Fleck were that good, he'd be gone by now.
Dressing in gear and practicing, the mantras, the tie, that stuff will get old after a while. Also let's see him recruit with academic and character requirements.
Yes, DH had a lot of success with character requirements. Lets get some f--ing players who can compete.
DH was not young nor was he dynamic in my opinion. He had one successful year at Kent St. and negotiated that into some big $$ from a less than sharp AD. Fleck has built a program from 1-11 to undefeated in 4 years and has gotten some recruits that other BT schools wanted.
He also never demonstrated an ability to recruit, unlike Fleck.
Other Big Ten schools wanted them until they saw academic and criminal records. You can get away with that in Kalamazoo. Flecky ain't coming here.
His recruiting (Fleck's) is okay for the MAC (next year he's got 15 two stars and 7 three's coming in). Those recruits aren't going to do any better than those currently at PU. For those wanting a continuation of the cradle of QB's, let me remind you of the following: WMU is ranked 102nd in passing yards. They win because they run the ball, but even then Fleck at PU would be competing with the OSU's, MSU's, Meatchicken's, and the rest of the toughest conference in college football.
