agree , he does not have to score, rebound and defend and run the floor and create ops for others!good. and it may not involve scoring a point.
I think Furst looked a lot better today.. (which was good since Purdue had to depend on home for a lot of minutes at the 5) He still wasn't looking as good as early season Furst, but he's getting there. Gillis is looking great though!I meant Gillis! And with scoring!
Man, you pivoted on that better than Trevion with a sky hook.I meant Gillis! And with scoring!
A few of the folks that have had the latest Brand X of Covid say afterwards it's like you're walking around in quicksand. He's young, tough and in good shape, but I suspect he still has some of the gumption knocked out of him.Yeh, but he's still not moving like he was before. They've never stated what his foot problem was/is, but i wonder if it's still bothering. Was able to play and did a few things and we got the end result.
Mason was huge. WELL done Mason!
Yeah I still get winded way easier than I did before. Other than that Omnicron wasn't bad. One pretty shitty day and that's it. I couldn't imagine playing a college basketball game.A few of the folks that have had the latest Brand X of Covid say afterwards it's like you're walking around in quicksand. I think it hits everyone different. I have it right now (PCR test) or did a couple of days ago. For me it was like a sinus infection. Started just a little Sunday night and Monday and Tuesday were it. Some congestion, headache and discomfort sleeping and then runny nose, but that was it. Started feeling better Tuesday and was great Wednesday and from then on. I had plans to catch the Carmel/Westfield game today, but wasn't going to chance the Smiths getting it or anyone else if somehow I was contageous. FWIW, Kim has felt really tired for probably four or five days and she just had her PCR results today and it was negative...go figure. It must attack the sweet cells and so it quickly left my body.A few of the folks that have had the latest Brand X of Covid say afterwards it's like you're walking around in quicksand. Yeah I was sore as hell for a day and half that was it. I would say I'm about 95% back to normal. Just a small cough.I felt bad a couple of weeks ago but never got tested. One day very low grade fever. Yes, my leg were constantly fatigued to the point I thought I had a problem. Never heard of that potential side effect until today.
IMO it’s no coincidence Purdue struggled recently without Furst’s production. Earlier in season he was great and so was Purdue. I may be going out on a limb in saying this but a productive Furst is key to how well we do in March/AprilI certainly hope so, but he has seemed lost the last 3 games or so. Getting no rebounds, struggling to stay with his man and making some turnovers a couple which were when he struggled to get open and fumbled a pass. Gotta step up and play with confidence. A lot like Newman!
Gotta be able to get your own shot off!Man, you pivoted on that better than Trevion with a sky hook.
Maybe you meant to say "His defense was OK for a change."Didn't score much but his D was pretty good.
Morton is not going to the 3 because that takes Sasha's 35 minutes. Gillis plays too well to give up minutes to Morton. The problem is that Painter is stubbornly sticking with the IT/Hunter combo that gives us nothing and is ultimately going to push Newman into the portal. Our best players are not getting the minutes.injured and covid. Hopefully he's healed and strong again.
The kids been a leader his whole life.
not him to stand on a bandbox, he knows his place. But if the TEAM needs leadership, he will answer the call.
Not saying he's going to set the game on fire, just that i expect a display of toughness and intensity that has been missing while he's been down.
Mortons been great, I'm one of his biggest fans. But he's no 4 and our rebounding and interior defense has suffered when he's playing there. He started playing because nobody could match up with Harper and has played well enough since to keep playing somewhere.
If Caleb is ok, I'm hoping to see more of Morton at the 3 with Gillis/Furst and Tre/Zack
