I think you're missing the forest for the trees here. There are many that do not deserve pardons for what they did and deserve stiff penalties. However, there were also many that didn't really do anything other than walk through the building. They shouldn't have done it, but they also don't deserve to have been treated the way they have.

There were in Seattle, during the CHOP fiasco, where the mob took over a section of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
So it happened in one unique situation, not anywhere else among the some 7300 hundred protests across the country.

Ok. 2,3,4. The point is rape was an extremely rare occurrence during the riots…….and that may even be generous. To throw it in the same sentence as looting is disingenuous…….like other descriptions of the riots. One would think cities were burned to ground and murder was rampant based on how people describe them. It’s ridiculous.
