Thought those of you who didn't receive the email from Purdue Athletics might find this interesting:

That's outstanding. Kudos to the fans, let's keep it (and the winning) going! I'd love to see the upper deck on the east side, but my guess is we'd need to do this for 4-5 years in a row before they'd consider.

Stadium renovation plans are back on the table. Bobinski is taking it to the BoT when they next convene. Nothing definitive at this point, but if it materializes, it'll likely be done in phases.

This is why it has sucked for my team to have been so mediocre (at best) for the last 2 decades. UT is hovering around 80% attendance for 2021 (and that is with a new coach and after a global pandemic limited 2020 attendance). We are down to 5th in our conference in attendance. I'd love to see attendance back in the 90s someday. But you hire a string of crappy coaches...and people decide to sit at home, rather than travel to the game to watch the crappy product they are putting on the field.

As a side note...I'd love to have a home and home with Purdue. We have played so few Big-10 teams in the regular season, and it really makes fans miss out on experiencing the environment at other great venues.

I am glad to see the plans at least being discussed again. The south end zone is an eye sore and IMO a lost revenue stream. There is an opportunity to introduce some prime seating in that area. Same could be said ultimately for a second deck on the east side, which could be done in a later phase along with reduction of the north end zone (next-worst seats in the hizzy).

I’d love to see that too. I’d definitely go down to Neyland

I admittedly don't find it interesting...I find it incredibly exciting, and, it is in line with what I have said for a long, long time...Purdue fans will support the program...they want to do so....and if they have reason to, they absolutely will.

There was maybe some post-COVID bump, but, in having been there for all but a game this past year, the atmosphere and environment in general was outstanding, and, it was a fun year for sure...if they can just sustain it and build upon it now hopefully.

Thanks for sharing the email...

With the SEC expansion, that is not likely to happen now unfortunately, but, like you, I think it would have been welcomed and a great series/fun series.

Purdue has work to do certainly, but, they are showing some signs of progress and the work being put in is paying off...hopefully that continues.

As someone who always appreciated the environment there at Tennessee and loved watching them beat up on ND in the past...who just loves college football and big games especially...here is hoping that things get fixed there on your end...and that maybe Heupel is the guy to make that happen.

Agree I would love to see a home and home with Tennessee. That would be a fun series. That would certainly be a guaranteed sellout at Purdue assuming we keep playing well.
