With the return of football with public attendance this fall, I have to believe a great number of folks on this forum are excited to watch our beloved Boilers at Ross Ade stadium.

Has G&B ever hosted a tailgate for this forum?

I know many here host their own tailgate parties so I don't want to take away from that but wanted to see is there any interest in picking a game, location, and time for us to connect, if only for a few minutes?

No food or drink would be necessary as the goal would be to connect for a brief period of time then return to your regularly scheduled pre-game activities.

Maybe create a new tradition for this forum. Something like... second home game of the season meet at location X, N hours before kickoff. We could even bring our own drink and do a toast! Maybe something that celebrates our ability to be together, the Purdue football season, and this great country.

I think it’s a good concept. Just needs a leader to organize and execute. Might start off as a pretty small group, so don’t get too discouraged on the turnout.

A helluva guy on the premie board (when I was on it). Was too brutally honest to be liked by the masses. He always was a straight shooter though.
Yes. I was a poor law school student when they occurred but the stories live on on the premie board.

We should set up a boxing ring and let forum foes have at it during the tailgate.
That brings back lots of memories. One of my friend's parents bought 2 sets of (10 ounce?) gloves. Looking back, it was a pretty interesting idea, although in reality, it was more akin to now-UFC.

you should put together a bracket of the matchups you'd like to see.

Make sure you don't leave out yourself...
There's some pretty good matchups from the general discussion board. Mostly around politics.
