For those who want to see tonight's championship game v Stanford (free)

Phantom foul on a 3-pt shot by Stanford. Wonder who had money down on this one?

Actually there two of these calls on 3 pointers. One in the fourth quarter and one in overtime. The one ref has always haunted me, and she did it again. She stands close to half court and makes calls almost just to call something, then has to reason or defend the ghost calls. Stanford hits foul shots which didn't help.

Overall I was pleasantly impressed with our ball handling, movement and passing. So much different from the past few seasons. There are some obvious weaknesses but overall we may be surprised this year with results.

Germstate, your comments are spot on. The ball movement and half court play was very different than last year. It's like an entirely diffeerent offensive scheme is on display. Sharing the ball and assisting the shooter, feeding the post, etc. all looked so much better, I was shocked. Tremendous imporvement over last year's team.

The freshman class seems to be money also. Good players that have strong fundamentals. I like it!

Agreed, The Freshman seem to fit right in. They box out well when rebounding and stay out of harm's way before turnovers occur. Boy, as the season goes with the learning experience of WBB they should be one of the keys to our year. I like that. They don't look fazed at all.
