7-5 worst case IF they stay focused. Every game including Wisconsin to end the FUMBLE streak is winnable and within reach if Purdue stays focused and within their game plan. Who in the hell in their right mind would have said that after the dismal 0-3 start?
I’m on record back in late July or early August saying 6-6 due to Defensive rebuild. The coaches continue to impress me so far. Enjoy the rest of the ride. We are going bowling again!

I would suggest worrying about beating Minnesota next weekend. The rest will take care of itself.

I know people hated Danny Hope, but when he was coach, all but the last year I felt like we could win any game when the ball was kicked off. I feel that way again and we have much better support in the sideline!!
Hope also got hisdoors blown off by good teams outside of a few upsets. The worst Brohm has lost by at Purdue is 10. Brohm >> Hope.

I get that, but he beat osu twice, almost always kept the bucket, and won at Michigan. Played Oregon to the wire twice. Results are results but you always felt you could win or come back to win. I didnt feel that way during Hazell.

I agree. I wouldn’t go as far as calling Hope a great coach, but at least his team kept the fans hopeful. They played hard and occasionally pulled upsets. Hazell’s years were just abysmal and depressing.

As much as many of us didn’t like him, Gary Nord did a lot of things with the talent he had.

The first Oregon game was tiller.

Hope was a decent coach with horrible support.

Brohm is an excellent coach with good support.

I don't get how a positive thread about this season turns into an exercise in trashing prior coaches.

They're gone. By all accounts, good men.

This is a new era.

Yeah, I've been bad about this at times. Right now I'm just happy with who we have. Brohm is an excellent coach.

I have always thought with Danny Hope as coach,it was a case of being close, but no cigar.Yes,they were blown out by Michigan,PSU and Wisconsin in 2012 but Purdue nearly beat both ND and OSU on the road.He did have to go after that season but DH2 was a horrible choice to replace him.

No time to be paranoid. Live in the moment and enjoy the ride. Purdue football will surpass pre-season expectations and I too am shocked from the 0-3 start how they turned it around.
I’m not at all. Brohm and his staff are the best coaches Purdue’s had in decades. He’s a winner who coaches teams that play a fun brand of football. Purdue is just at the beginning of a long upward climb. Wait until he gets more better skill position players like Wright and Bell to go along with Rondale. Wait until he gets better DEs like Karlaftis, Hunter, etc. Wait until the young DBs get more seasoning.

Better shore up our defense on kickoff returns get more aggressive on pass defense.

Brohm said in his press conference that they’re working in shoring up KO returns (reducing widths of running lanes, etc.) and they were more aggressive on pass defense last week than they were vs MSU (less cushion and more physical). Minnesota doesn’t have the talent MSU does or Iowa does. We’re going to be in their WO FR QB’s grill all day. I don’t think they’ll be able to run much against us either.
