I see OSU and Michigan (the schools) were fined $100K each for the juvenile nonsense at the end of The Game. The SCHOOLS didn't do anything wrong, the police responded (probably) in an appropriate manner. It was on the PLAYERS. Now that there are NIL funds for the players, why not take the $ from there? If a player is receiving $$ and participated in the melee, make him pay a fine. Right?

I like it. Stop coddling and protecting them.

It is time to have some sportsmanship. Celebrate a victory, but no reason to be disrespectful.

Everyone talks about the Michigan/OSU game, but this happened in the South Carolina game, Florida game, and a couple of others.

NCAA needs to work with the conferences and put in big enough restrictions and penalties to stop these stupid acts.

Hit them in their NIL and watch them cry like babies. Bet they still wouldn’t wise/grow up from it though.

There should be a conference rule about RESPECT and SPORTSMANSHIP. When you are in another's house, respect it as such.

Failure to do should result in financial, and if actionable, legal penalties for players, coach, and universities.

If players are going to be paid, then they share in the consequences. Also, if players elect not to play in a game, significanr financial penalties are assessed. Welcome to being an adult

One thing I don't see many people bringing up is this is the second time this season UM has been involved in a fight.

And the 2nd major issue since 2022 (tunnel fight).

They are really putting the UM in scum

Nah...let these guys plant the flag. Don't like it...Don't lose at home.

The midfield melee adds some spice to the rivalry.
If Purdue would have beat iu, we'd all by cheering out heads off if the players planted a P flag on the 50 yard line of iu's home field.

The O$U players are the ones who got epicly butthurt and started the fighting. UM celebrated a major upset at their rival's house.
If you dont want your rival to celebrate, win the damn game.
All OSU players involved in the fighting should be subjected to fines at a minimum, to a game suspension at a maximum.

I'd rather see those players involved with fighting, suspended their next game. In OSU's case that would be a playoff game. Money from the university is not going to prevent that type of activity.
No argument there! Thanks
